Denver Broncos recently traded for Russell Wilson. He was brought in from the Seattle Seahawks, where he transformed himself into a franchise legend. Things weren’t working for the Seahawks for a long time now, and a change of scenery was needed for Wilson.

Russell played his entire career in the NFC, but now the QB will be playing in the AFC. Moreover, unlike in the past, the AFC is much tougher presently as compared to the NFC. This will be a big challenge for him to perform and excel in this tough conference.

Recently, Wilson appeared on a podcast where he talked about his preparation have been for the next season in Denver. He also gave an indication about how long he is planning to play in the NFL.

Wilson said, “I want to maximize everything man, I don’t know what I got 10 or 12 more years left and I want to maximize every bit of it and I’m excited about the opportunity of it all.” Tom Brady has certainly set an example for his fellow quarterbacks. The GOAT has proved that you can play well at old age if you are able to take care of your body. Russell Wilson certainly wants to follow the same path as him. 

Can Russell Wilson take the Denver Broncos to promise land?

Russell Wilson came to Denver to win a Super Bowl. However, his path to the big game won’t be easy. The Broncos are part of the toughest division in the NFL, i.e, the AFC West. Their division comprises the Kansas City Chiefs, the Las Vegas Raiders, and the Los Angeles Chargers.

All their division rivals have Super Bowl ambitions as well. Moreover, all the teams in their division, including the Broncos, make a strong case for being the best four teams in the AFC.

As a result, Russell Wilson’s task in his first season in the AFC will not be easy. Things can go either way for them. However, if they are able to make it out of their division, then one can make a strong case for them to have a deep playoff run. Denver’s roster is pretty good, and Jerry Jeudy will be Wilson’s primary weapon on the offensive end. It will be interesting to see how they fare out in the first season with Wilson at the quarterback position.
