The second quarter of the game happened to be a rough session for both sides that saw a bunch of touchdowns in the end. One of the highlighting moments was Mahomes getting sacked by Texans defensive tackle Maliek Collins Sr.

It looked like a terrible one, something that resembled many of the quarterbacks who experienced a sudden concussion. Although fans were expecting a penalty, no such calls were made. This certainly disappointed Brittany Mahomes, who vented her frustration on social media.

“I’m confused, we are allowed to tackle quarterbacks like that now? Got it. The inconsistency is BS,” she wrote on Twitter. ” I’m tired of the dirty hits,” Brittany mentioned in a follow-up tweet. While few of them shared similar views, others resorted to calling her out.

Patrick Mahomes receives backing for the MVP

The 2022 season is about to end, and this year has proved to be an impressive campaign for Mahomes in his professional career. Moreover, he is one of the strongest contenders for the MVP award this season. Head coach Andy Reid looks already convinced of his quarterback receiving the award this year following a spectacular game against the Texans.

“You saw Pat and what he did — he took care of business today,” Reid said via Arrowhead Report. “He went back to work and worked on it. You’re talking about a guy that if he’s not the MVP of the league, I’m not sure what’s wrong with it. He cleaned it up, he comes out, and we have almost 500 yards of offense.” he added.
