In the San Francisco Bay Area suburb of San Mateo, there is Junipero Serra High School, which has produced some famous athletes that we know today. It is the same high school from where Tom Brady graduated in 1995. But, do you know there is another athlete and a controversial MLB star who went to the same high school?

MLB star Barry Bonds attended the Junipero Serra High School and graduated in 1982. During his time at the school was into three sports: baseball, basketball, and football. In his senior year, Bonds has a batting average of 0.467 and got an offer to play for his home team San Francisco Giants.

Bonds rejected the offer and attended Arizona State University. The 14x All-Star started his MLB career in 1986 with Pittsburgh Pirates. He played with the Pirates until 1992 and then returned home in 1993 to play for the Giants.

Bonds played for 22 years in the MLB and retired in 2007. This year, Tom Brady after completing his 22 years in the league, almost quit the game. But, there is more football left in the 44-year-old Buccaneers quarterback. Recently in March, he announced he will play his 23rd season in the NFL.

Barry Bonds was an all-rounder and in his 22 years of career, he broke the major league home run records in a career with 762 home runs. He also has a record of 73 home runs in a single season, which he achieved in 2001.

Tom Brady also played baseball in that same high school and was drafted as a catcher by the then Montreal Expos in 1995. Brady had a dream to play quarterback in the NFL and further attended The University of Michigan.

Tom Brady now has appeared in 10 Super Bowl games, out of which he won 7 of them. He has been awarded the Super Bowl MVP award a record five times. Brady has started in 363 games, which is the most for an NFL quarterback.
