Eli Manning has just taken a shot at a young and upcoming quarterback who has broken Eli’s school record. In a surprising turn of events that young one is none other than the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning.

Eli Manning was quite a quarterback in his high school. However, his name on one or two records will be scraped off. His own Nephew Arch Manning is the culprit. After the news of him bypassing his uncle’s record went viral, the former New York Giants star took to Twitter calling out the youngster. Reacting to his nephew’s achievement, he wrote jokingly, “But how many of those passing yards did he throw from under center? I had 7,000!”

Following his tweet, many fans of the quarterback and supporters of the New York Giants came into the fold. Flocking in with hopes of Arch taking over his uncle’s legacy in New York, one fan wrote, “arch manning future giants qb1”

 Another fan expressed his dream of seeing the 18-year-old join the Giants and lead them to the “promise land”

Arch Manning hails from a quarterback-heavy family, with one of the most prominent names in the NFL. Having Peyton and Eli Manning as uncles, the junior player seems to be following in their footsteps. Arch has lit up the footballing world as a prospect. The youngster is a 5-star recruit going into his final season in school. After the season concludes, he will be heading to the University of Texas to play for the Longhorns.
