The former Super Bowl-winning WR still remains on the list of free agents. Although Odell Beckham Jr. made rounds at Buffalo, Dallas, and New York, nothing fruitful came out of his visits. And when asked more about his situation, he had some surprising insights into when he expected to make a return. Along with that, OBJ also expressed his wish to follow a stable routine.

The former Rams WR appeared on The Shop during the Thursday Night Football game. There, he talked about his future in the league. In an honest manner, the 30-year-old revealed when can his fans expect to see him play. 

His search for a new team took him to three places, but nothing came out of it yet. This also raised the question about his capability to play. Beckham experienced an ACL tear and has been 10 months removed from the injury. It usually takes a year to heal from such an injury. Even after that, players do not make a speedy return to the field.

On The Shop, he revealed that he had made no decision. The three-time Pro Bowl selection said, “I would like to be in a stable environment. Get up 6 a.m., leave at 6 p.m. for four weeks and then let’s talk about it. I’m not saying I couldn’t step in and play regular season, but I don’t see the point. I really don’t. I’d rather play when that pressure’s on.” He had talked about in the past that he wanted stability and a proper routine. Could he have followed that with the Cowboys?

Dallas’ long-time dalliance with Odell Beckham Jr.

Odell Beckham Jr.’s confession on the show clarified that he was not interested in signing with the New York Giants again. However, big bucks like the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, and Kansas City Chiefs are interested in the series of the wide-out. Out of them all, the Cowboys have been showing a lot of affection for OBJ.

The team’s owner and GM, Jerry Jones, publicly spoke out in the favor of the second-team All-Pro on numerous occasions. Jones would happily welcome Beckham to his team, but his health remains a major concern that Dallas needs to look into. The billionaire spoke about the player on 105.3 The Fan. 

When the star WR visited the Buffalo Bills and the Giants, he did not work for them. Similarly, that did not happen when he was in Dallas. The reason is his injury. 

Jerry Jones, on the radio show, showed little confidence about the deal. He said, “I’m not confident at all…Now, we all realize that issue of health, that issue of availability, is here every time. Just this one is very obvious…”

The Cowboys are Super Bowl contenders. Thus, they would not want to put an unfit player in the mix.
