To me, doesn’t really matter.” With his respectful stance towards the decision to identify oneself, Simpson would recall the incident of Dr. Renee Richards. OJ goes on to add, “Here was a person in their 40s, they’re transgender, and the courts ruled that she could compete…..But let’s face the fact, you know she was in her 40s, and never a great great great tennis player being a biological male. She was able to do pretty well against the women back then.” With sports competitiveness seemingly at risk according to many, OJ touches on another aspect and believes it is not fair while offering a solution.

With the former Bills man recalling the position the world of tennis entertained with Dr. Richards. The NFL star adds that there were girls who were getting beat by men who identified as females. “I mean they went through no medical any change but they just said they identified and they beat her…Let everybody compete, but when it’s over, have a category for female, a category for male, and a category for transgenders.” This reminds the former WR of a thought shared by a Senator from South Carolina.

He shares that, “Senator of South Carolina stated, what if Mike Tyson decides to identify as a female. Are you gonna let him box women? I don’t think so.” With the Mike Tyson question provoking a rethink of competitiveness, OJ shares a solution to aid everyone’s cause. As he goes on to add, “Let the trans compete against the trans, females against the females, and the males against the males.”
