A lot of factors come into play to decide who makes it all the way to the Super Bowl every NFL season. And sometimes, even the biggest stars need help. So, the Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott was rooting for another division rival over sworn enemies Philadelphia Eagles to get that little help.

And they got that help. The Eagles lost for the first time this season to open a slight door for the Cowboys.

Dak Prescott was rooting for the Commanders

After the Washington Commanders condemned the Eagles to their first defeat of the season, Dak Prescott revealed that he was supporting the Washington franchise on Monday Night Football this week. The defeat means the Eagles are now 8-1 in the season. And if the results go their way, the Cowboys can pounce at the divisional title. But the Cowboys QB also wants his team to stay focused and be at their best.

“Of course,” Prescott said when asked if he was supporting the Commanders on Monday. “But that game once again shows what the NFL is all about. You gotta go week-in week-out. Respect your opponent. Those guys played well last night. But at the end of the day, it’s about control and we can control. We know those things are gonna happen, so it’s important for us to stay focused and be our best. “

The Cowboys could have closed the gap on the Eagles, but they lost their game against the Green Bay Packers. It was the first Packers’ win in six games.

The Cowboys packed up by the Packers

The Cowboys went into week 10 with a 6-2 record against Green Bay, who were on a five-game losing streak. The odds were in their favor. But it turned out to be a different night.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers threw 14 completions for 224 yards. The NFL icon threw three touchdown passes. The Cowboys‘ defense could not intercept any of his 20 pass attempts. Although Dak Prescott threw 27 completions, almost doubles Rodgers’ tally, he managed just 265 yards in it. He also threw three touchdown passes, but the Packers defense overturned the possession twice through interceptions. The Packers beat the Cowboys 31-28 in OT, handing the Dallas outfit a fanbase-turning defeat.
