Aaron Rodgers might be the infamous poster boy of the NFC North, but on Sunday, the Lions turned out to be a real test. Not only did they receive a once-in-a-lifetime bragging opportunity, but their fans also got to see how low the Packers could go this season. This was, arguably, Rodgers’ worst performance since 2008, and his opponents were clearly enjoying watching the quarterback screaming out of frustration.

With this game, the Packers went down 3-6, and the Lions improved to 2-6 with a bye week. While speaking to the reporters, Rodgers expressed his disappointment and acknowledged his poor performance, especially the execution part.

“It really just comes down to execution. Play comes in, we’ve got to execute it. There’s a lot of things that go into that. We had a couple of chances for sure.” Rodgers said about the team’s overall performance. Apart from connecting passes, Rodgers had several other hits in the form of injuries. Wide Receiver Romeo Doubs left the field following a catch on the first play from scrimmage.

Left tackle David Bakhtiari and wideout Christian Watson also missed the second half, leaving the fans worried. Well, what could be more depressing than the loss? It nearly diminished all their aspirations for the season. However, the quarterback is still optimistic and vowed to win the remaining games.

Aaron Rodgers gets cornered by the fans

Starting from his comments about the use of Ayahuasca, vaccinations, and broken relationships, fans didn’t have any bounds criticizing the quarterback. The moment where he was screaming in the middle of the field out of frustration circulated across the internet.

Well, the netizens mentioned that this was the only game where fans from both sides could agree.

Fans showed no mercy trolling the passer.

Only 8 games remain for Rodgers and Co. to wrap up their season, and it will be interesting to see how the veteran approaches the upcoming matchups. Although he vowed to simplify things, there hasn’t been any improvement in the results as the slump continues.
