The recent Instagram post of Aaron Rodgers has taken over the internet by storm. Everyone believed that there was a cryptic message hidden in the caption. Many speculated that this was the quarterback saying goodbye to the Packers. And some thought that this was him saying goodbye to the league.

Is there a cryptic message hidden in the “gratitude” post?

As we all have seen, before the start of every game, Aaron Rodgers has a special place to stand for the national anthem. The quarterback usually stands between receivers Randall Cobb and Davante Adams. But the last image in Rodgers’ post had Cobb and Adams standing for the anthem without Rodgers. The picture was taken before the Week 9 fixture against the Kansas City Chiefs. Rodgers missed the game due to COVID.
Some fans were quick to jump to conclusions. Because in the caption, the Packers‘ QB thanked many people. And with him missing from the photo, they thought it was his way of telling us that he was moving out of the Packers.
Aaron Rodgers explains the real reason behind the post
Pat McAfee was quick to ask Rodger about the post. He said, “In my eyes when I saw that photo: It was you actually saying thanks to them for thinking about you when you weren’t there. Am I wrong in reading that? Or is that exactly why you posted that? Is that it?”

Rodgers replies, “First of all, you’re exactly right and full transparency when I got that message, I cried.” He continues, “You know, when I got that photo from Randall and Davante, it brought tears to my eyes. And that’s one of my favorite photos from the year. It really is, because it just shows the love and how special each of those moments are. So that’s, you know, that’s one of my all-time favorite photos, and the thought that went into doing that was deeply moving to me.”
So in conclusion, there is no cryptic or hidden message inside the post. The gratitude post is just what it says, gratitude. It is Aaron Rodgers expressing his gratitude for his teammates, coaches, family, and friends. It is not a goodbye. At the moment, it looks like Rodgers will be playing next season.
