While speaking at the Aubrey Marcus Podcast, a long talk show, Rodgers touched on various topics, including his secret behind winning four MVPs. The veteran explained that he was deeply inspired by a Hollywood blockbuster, Moneyball.

A movie consisting of dramatic twists and turns in the life of a footballer and his on-field victories. Rodgers believes that the protagonist in the film resembles his life in many aspects.

” I was channel surfing, and Moneyball was on. Moneyball, I’ve always enjoyed it, and it was on. I decided to watch it. And my favorite part of the movie that the end,” he said on the show.

” So they’ve lost the game. And Brad Pitt and Jonah are sitting there and Jonah and they’re disappointed because they put in this whole new way of doing it based upon a different way of looking at analytics. They lose in the playoffs and they’re disappointing for the season and the question every night. Like we always do.” he explained.

Aaron Rodgers hails the defense over the offense

Aaron Rodgers is gearing up to play in the 18th NFL season of his career. While the training camps have already begun, it is evident that the Packers have a formidable defense over the offense. The defense has the capacity to put on a show once the season officially begins.

Meanwhile, Rodgers said that he was intimidated to face the scary defense unit during the training camps. “I felt coming into camp, to be honest, we were going to get our butts kicked most days because our defense is talented and deep and athletic. It’s one of the best defenses, on paper, that we’ve had,” Rodgers said.

Apart from the new acquisitions this summer, Green Bay already boast of veterans like Preston Smith, De’Vondre Campbell, Kenny Clark, Jarran Reed, Rashan Gary, Jaire Alexander, and many more. Similarly, there has been a major revamp in the wide receiver room as well. With all these resources available, it will be interesting to see how Rodgers utilizes them in 2022.
