Derek Carr felt encouraged when he received an encouraging message from the 4X NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers. The Raiders’ QB revealed that before the playoff game between the Raiders and the Packers, Rodgers texted Carr. Although Carr did not reveal the message, Rodgers was generous enough to explain his thoughts.

Derek Carr revealed that Aaron Rodgers is the QB he talks to the most despite never playing together. So how does he know him so well? The link is hidden in the former Packers’ WR, Davante Adams. Adams and Carr went to Fresno state and are now playing together for the Las Vegas Raiders.

Carr has an exceptional record in winning games and personal stats. However, one thing that he is lacking is a Super Bowl ring. Even though he has been to a playoff, not having a Super Bowl is a gap yet to be filled. But with Davante Adams joining the Raiders this season, he can hope to change his fortune for good.

Before Adams left, the Packers‘ QB to join his college buddy as a WR, Carr used the link to get in touch with Rodgers. Getting some words of encouragement just before the playoff game must have been a blessing for the Raiders’ QB.

Speaking to Pat McAfee, Aaron Rodgers revealed, “I’m happy for Derek. I’ve known him for a long time and I enjoy keeping in touch with him. I’ve enjoyed our conversations, I think he’s a really respectful guy. He’s been through a crazy amount of adversity this season with what happened to Jon [Gruden] and all the moving parts.”

Further, he said, “I just sent him some encouragement before the game just because I do enjoy him as a person and how he handles his business.”

Derek Carr was over the moon after the message, and why wouldn’t he be? Although Adams traded himself to the Raiders to be with his Fresno State buddy, the QB would hope that his relations remain the same with Aaron Rodgers.
