Carolina Panthers Defensive End Brian Burns accomplished a major goal in the game against the Buccaneers. The 24-year-old finally got to legendary QB Tom Brady for the first time in his NFL career. And it was a turnaround as Burns picked up the sack. He pushed Tom Brady and his bunch back for a 14-yard-loss. The special moment for the 24 Y.O. happened with just five minutes remaining in the first half of the Sunday game.

The youngster conveyed his excitement through a comparative remark. “The GOAT got caught in the web,” he said. Tom Brady is referred to as the greatest of all time, and a morale win against the seasoned campaigner is a booster for any young talent. Burns was right, as the Bucs did not open the points in the first half.

In the end, they won the game by an astonishing 21-3 margin at the Bank of America Stadium. Previously, Tom Brady, in a presser, had passed on a message to his team ahead of the clash. He gave a suggestion to focus on the points and secure the win. But the game witnessed the Bucs failing in that aspect.

When Burns expressed his big desire

Last summer, the young talent appeared on Behind The Mask podcast where he talked about his excitement to take down the future HOF-er. “And that was my goal coming into that year, knowing that he was gonna be in Tampa Bay. I was gonna play him twice a year, I got double the chance to get him,” he said.
