The Broncos have had a trying week. First, they lost to the Rams and then suffered a loss against the Chiefs. In the midst of these losses, the Broncos also had another unfortunate incident. Their quarterback, Russell Wilson, ended up getting injured with what seemed like a serious injury. He was taken off the field by the medical staff and was replaced by the backup.

Fans react to Russell Wilson and his tweet

The Denver Broncos star quarterback, Russell Wilson was out with a concussion and had to be replaced by the QB2. Wilson went on to tweet his thanks to Jesus. Fans erupted and had an extreme reaction to the tweet.

There were some fans who were wishing him a good recovery.

However, there were some spiteful comments from Broncos fans.

A user commented on how Wilson is getting paid for nothing.

Subsequently, there were also users who just seemed fed up with Wilson’s tweet.

Furthermore, there were fans who mentioned how much they do not like Wilson’s QB skills.

A user commented on the goodness of Wilson as a person but insulted his skills as a QB.

A fan jokingly attached a McDonald’s work application, indicating that that the QB should find new employment opportunities.

However, there were some well-wishers in the Twitter comments.

All in all, the fans’ reactions ranged from brutal to comforting. A few comments might have been light humor whereas some of them became a little too harsh. In light of comments like this, the injury itself seems to have been made light of.

Wilson’s injury

Russell Wilson was having one of his best games in a while when he was playing against the Chiefs. There was no doubt that Wilson was playing well until his injury. However, during the early minutes of the fourth quarter, the quarterback was tackled on a 14-yard dash and came down with a head injury. He was declared to be out for the game with a concussion.

After he was carried off, the Broncos brought in Brett Rypien as the backup. He seemed to perform adequately with one touchdown pass, but alas that was not enough. The Broncos ultimately lost against the Chiefs with a score of 34-28, drawing the ire of fans. The injured Bronco also seemed to have face flak for his tweet, but the question is when will he make a return to the field.
