The standing ovation on his return may have melted the heart of the World Series winner. But it didn’t stop his team from beating the team Betts once called home on Friday night. The Dodgers would comfortably beat the Boston Red Sox on their trip north, finishing the game with a 7-4 scoreline. The matchup would have reminded Maya of the time when her uncle was involved in a similar position.

After leaving the New England Patriots, Tom Brady would have to face the side as their opponent for the first time back in 2021. The trip may have come a little too soon for the former Bucs QB, but he’d not let emotions get in his way. Despite a close call in the matchup, Brady would bag the bragging rights over his former team in a 19-17 win in October 2021.
