Here is everything that you need to know about the Rivers’ family.

Who are Philip Rivers’ 10 children? Philip Rivers’ kids’ names and ages revealed

Halle (2002): The couple welcomed their first child, Halle, while they were both in college at North Carolina. Two years after her birth, Rivers joined the pro league, so their eldest pretty much grew up around all the fame.

Caroline (2005): Their second child, Caroline, takes after her father’s athletic skills and is interested in basketball and tennis.

Grace (2006): The following year, the couple had their third child, Grace, who is a little bit like both her parents. They nicknamed her “Combo” for that very reason. She also followed in her father’s footsteps and plays tennis and basketball.

Gunner (2008): Their fourth child, Philip Gunner, shares the same name and passion as his father. He plays football and is a quarterback. Despite battling diabetes at a young age, he kept his love for the sport alive. He plays for St. Michael Catholic High School in Fairhope, Alabama, where his father is the head football coach. He will be the starting QB next season.

Sarah (2010): Sarah, one of the middle children, has a big, chatty personality. She recently found her love for swimming and even won first place at a meet.

Peter (2011): Their sixth child, Peter, is what his dad calls an “old soul.” He loves baseball, golf, hunting, and fishing. While his older brother Gunner plays quarterback, Peter is more like the receiver, a little slot receiver, as Rivers likes to say.

Rebecca (2013): Their seventh child, Rebecca, is fondly called Becca by the family. Speaking of her strong-willed nature, Rivers said, “Sometimes that trait can be deemed a negative, but I think the strong-willed ones usually end up doing awesome things.”

Clare (2015): Little Clare shares the same birthday as Rebecca. While the girls call themselves “birthday sisters” and love sharing the same special day for now, Philips joked that he’s not sure they’ll feel the same way once they’re teenagers.

Anna (2019): Their ninth child, Anna, fulfils a prophecy for their family, as Rivers believes. Before her birth, Tiffany shared that Anna completed a long-running family pattern of seven girls and two boys, something Philip’s grandfather joked he could’ve predicted himself.

Andrew (2023): Back in July of that year, the couple shared that they were expecting their 10th child. Andrew Joseph was born on Oct. 30, 2023. Rivers also became a grandfather this year.

However, he has often mentioned his family. He calls them a miracle. The NFL player and his wife have always made sure to give the best to their kids. For Rivers, being a good dad is “a challenge,” and that “nobody is perfect at it.” But what matters most, he explained, is being present.

“He’s so selfless,” Halle said. “He’s an NFL quarterback; he’s doing a million different things every day, but every day he comes home, and he wants to be with us. If he has one extra minute, he could do something else, he’ll be with us.”

What does Philip Rivers’ family tree look like? Details about his wife, Tiffany, and kids

Philip Rivers and his wife, Tiffany, may have married in 2001, but their love story began many years before. She’s been with him through it all, meeting him in middle school and instantly falling in love. Before getting married, she converted to Christianity, which is something Rivers adores the most. A year later, in 2002, they welcomed their oldest, Halle, who has now made them grandparents. They went on to welcome nine more children, growing into a family of 12.

The Rivers are one of the largest families associated with the league today, with the quarterback’s ten children. Despite being at the height of NFL fame, the future Hall of Famer prioritized his faith and family above everything. With ten children, you’d expect things to be tough to manage, but Rivers has cracked the code on parenting:

“Be present. Just try to be there. Children want our time.”

Not just parents, he believes the secret to a healthy married life is being “best friends” with your partner. And just like the values of Catholicism were passed down to him from his father, he and his wife have taught their children the same.

Are any of Philip’s kids NFL players?

From family dinners to vacations, they always pay more attention to spending quality time together. As for NFL dreams, Rivers’ kids are still young. It’s far too early to say whether any of them will end up in the NFL. However, Gunner Rivers might have begun following his father’s footsteps.

The moments Philip shared with his father, Steve, as head coach at Athens High School, he created similar moments with Gunner. Sharing the gridiron gene with his grandfather and father, Gunner is a four-star QB recruit and aspiring to build his own name in the Class of 2027. His father’s alma mater, North Carolina State, has already made its offer to the young Gunner. He also has letters from four other schools on the breakfast table. Similar to his father, he’s No. 1 in Alabama, playing the same position of quarterback.

As for his other kids, they’re athletic, active, and talented in their own sports, so the potential is definitely there, but only time will tell how many more follow in his footsteps into the NFL.

The former Indianapolis Colts player and Tiffany make a point to keep life as normal as possible for their children. Both parents stress open communication, ensuring that each child feels heard and supported.
