No one in NFL history parties harder than Rob Gronkowski. Everywhere this guy goes, he turns the scene into a rager. If you need proof, just look at the legendary Gronk parties he hosts every year. Right alongside his faithful companion Julian Edelman, the Gronk Beach parties bring together prime talents. Just this year, there were live performances by Flo Rida, Valentino Khan, and so many more. Gronk is the heart of these celebrations, and he always brings the style. Even when he’s showing up at other events. That’s exactly what the Indianapolis crowd saw firsthand.
Rob Gronkowski’s all about a good challenge. And he doesn’t shy away from making his feelings known either. He even had a legendary dance-off against Travis Kelce once during a Gronk Beach Party. While he lost that battle, he still remembers (some of) it as an iconic moment in his life. But this week, it’s not the beach that called out to Gronk. It was the Indy 500, and just like always, he came up in style. But that wasn’t the highlight. Gronk going wild at parties isn’t anything new. What caught everyone’s attention was the strays he shot at the Indianapolis Colts.
Gronk didn’t just show up at the Indy 500. He owned it. Energies were high on the small stage as Gronk stood ready with a fog gun and a challenge. Right off the bat, he dropped ice water on Indianapolis. “My favorite part about being here at the Indy 500 is that I feel like I’m at home because I absolutely owned the Colts. The Indianapolis Colts. For 8 years straight.” Imagine a former Patriot challenging the Colts like this. But that’s not all Gronk had to say about his rivals. “While I was on the Patriots, I never lost to them. I owned them on the field, in the blocking game, in the passing game, so I feel like I’m at home.” Gronk has held a legendary record against the Colts, sure. But this callout didn’t go badly with the Indy 500 crowd, mainly because of what he said next.

While he took shots at the Colts, he was all for another Indiana team. Which one? The Indiana Pacers NBA team. Gronk went to say, “The Knicks beat my Boston Celtics last week, so now I’m a Pacers fan, so it evens out.” Yes, Gronk is a big-time Celtics fan, but as the Knicks scored a historic victory over them recently, the Patriots legend shifted his allegiance to the Pacers. Why? The Pacers are facing off against the Knicks for a shot at the NBA finals. So, an enemy of my enemy is my friend, right? And Gronk ends his speech with an epic, “We’re on the little stage here. It’s time to move to the big stage and keep this party starting.” And the fog gun goes off.
While we talk about Gronk going wild at parties, there’s an instance that Gronk remembers. Perhaps not as fondly as the other ones. And no, it wasn’t the famous Gronk-Kelce dance-off. It was a party that had a much bigger impact on him. The party was fun, sure, but it was the repercussions that followed that still give him nightmares.

Rob Gronkowski’s party drew fumes from Belichick
Gronk and Edelman have always been party animals. But way back in 2016, when they were under Bill Belichick’s watchful eyes, one time didn’t exactly go their way. One Memorial Day weekend saw Gronk and Edelman celebrating on Nantucket Island. Things went a little haywire, as is the signature flair of any party where drinks, dancing, and Gronk are involved. They had a golf cart to themselves (NFL celebrity perks), and it was this cart that got them into trouble. As Gronk remembered it, “We were on a golf cart, we were in the back, Julian and I doing our thing, and the golf cart lifted up in the air, the front tyres, and we landed on the ground.” The viral clip of that incident fell into the lap of Belichick. And that was that.

Now, Bill Belichick isn’t one to hold back when he’s talking about anything. So what was the fallout? “3 days later, we go to whatever OTAs running routes, and Bill came up to us, – we were sweating all over the place, get all that f—— s— out of your system. I saw you two idiots this weekend, you guys are f—— fools.” While the couple got off with a few miles, it’s something that the two will likely never forget. After all, Belichick makes quite the impression, even now.

Whatever the case, Gronk parties are going to stay wild. Especially since retiring from the NFL, the dude’s taken things up a few notches, clearly. Honestly, it suits his dynamic personality. And if the Indiana Pacers manage to edge out the Knicks for the NBA finals in the coming days, there might just be another rager of an event on the horizon.
