Responding to the news of Panettiere’s death just a few days away from her 37th birthday, and reflecting on her role in the football comedy-drama, former NFL wide receiver Julian Edelman posted a message on his social media.

At that time, the police said the case was “under investigation by the Greenville Police Department in conjunction with the Greenville County Coroner’s Office. The preliminary investigation has not indicated any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances. An acquaintance of Ms. Panettiere placed the 911 call.”

A TMZ exclusive reveals that the call to Emergency Medical Services was about a person in “cardiac arrest,” and the medics were sent to perform “CPR on someone who overdosed.”
