If you’ve already streamed Happy Gilmore 2, you know it’s full of wild cameos—but none more surprising than Travis Kelce—spoiler alert. Not in pads. Not on a mic. Nope—he’s in a suit, playing a picture-perfect waiter at a fancy dinner scene, the night before a major tournament. The guy’s all class, offering up drinks with charm and polish. Have we seen this calmness on the gridiron? Highly doubtful. For a minute, it feels like Kelce just wandered into the wrong movie. And then things take a turn.

Out of nowhere, Travis flips—his smile fades, the mood sours, and boom, he’s firing Bad Bunny’s character, Oscar, on the spot. It’s savage, hilarious, and way too smooth for someone making his comedy debut. The scene’s barely two minutes long, but he steals it with that switch-up. And while fans were loving it, you can’t help but wonder—what was going through Jason Kelce’s head watching his little brother go full villain?

Well, we can’t tell that, at least for now, or until the next episode of New Heights Podcast drops. But what we can tell is that Jason Kelce found Happy Gilmore 2 over-the-top, as he shared a cryptic reaction to the film. “Man, 10 minutes into Happy Gilmore 2…. Absolutely devastating start! How could anyone recover from that,” Jason shared his early reactions to Adam Sandler’s starrer.

He just reacted to the first 10 minutes of the film, sure. But the day is not far when we’ll see the Kelce brothers reviewing the film. And yes, especially Travis Kelce’s role. Maybe through Jason’s tweets. Or maybe on their podcast. Travis is among the several celebrities who are making cameos in the film. From professional golfers to notable athletes, and several of Sandler’s family members as well.

But the way things unfolded, it took just ten minutes—the opening scene—for Jason to hop up on his social media and handle and share his valuable review. Earlier this year, during his appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Travis said it loud and clear that working on the Happy Gilmore sequel was a “dream.” “[Sandler] is every bit as cool off the screen as he is on the screen. That was a dream come true. That was awesome.”

The sequel picks up nearly 30 years later. Happy Gilmore is back—only now, he’s retired, widowed, and way past his prime. It’s part comeback, part dad-mode, and all the chaos you’d expect from Happy dragging himself back into the wild world of competitive golf. During his chat with Entertainment Tonight, Sandler shared his thoughts on working with Kelce. “Travis is such a gentle, nice guy, and funny as hell,” he told.

He’s like the guys I grew up with. When I was with Travis, it reminded me of my buddies in high school and just being able to laugh and say the things you want to say.” That said, all eyes now shift from screens to the field as the Chiefs start their camp while Travis Kelce enters the 13th season of his career.

Is the 13th season the last season for Travis Kelce?

Travis Kelce at the Chiefs’ training camp looks like he’s 20. That’s the grab-you-by-the-collar, can’t-look-away headline of the week, at least for the Chiefs’ Kingdom. “He’s svelte right now. He looks like he’s 20. He’s doing a great job,” the head coach, Andy Reid, said, as per Charles Goldman of A to Z. “He’s in great shape. You can see he’s been working out. You saw him yesterday on the long run where he had a burst. He’s worked hard to get to this spot.”

The tight end is entering the 13th season, and the final season of his two-year deal that he signed last year. And with that comes the retirement rumors. Will Travis Kelce retire after next season? That’s the question. Well, maybe he can if he manages to finish his unfinished business of ending his career on a high note. February’s second Sunday still haunts the Chiefs and Kelce.

So, when asked if the 2025 season will be his last or not, Kelce pivoted smartly and claimed that he’s focusing on this season only. “It’s the last one on the contract,” he said on Bussin with the Boys Podcast when asked about his retirement. “I’m focused on this one. I don’t know what next year is going to feel like. I don’t know what I’m going to feel like in March or April next year when I make that decision.”

Kelce inked a two-year, $34.25 million contract extension last year as he enters the final year of his deal. He’s been in the spotlight this offseason, especially after losing some weight. Fast forward to now, and the 35-year-old tight end has rolled into Chiefs camp with the bounce of a guy who still gets carded at bars. He turns 36 in October—but don’t tell his legs that. Last season or not? That we shall see in February or March next year.
