The Detroit Lions have been known for their aggressive playing style all through the season. But the recent NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers showed how it can backfire with poor decisions. And for a lot of spectators, the recent loss is attributed to HC Dan Campbell who made errors that cost him and his team the chance to play at the Super Bowl.

Although he may be retired, Tom Brady is always watching the field. After watching the Lions almost making it to the Super Bowl and losing because of blunders, he shoots at Campbell who came short of what’s expected of him. In fact, his second-half management could be seen as one of the worst coaching performances in the history of the NFL.

The recent NFC Championship Game between the 49ers and the Lions is a heartbreaking game to watch, especially for Detroit fans. Two faulty errors led to the 49ers beating the Lions in a close 34-31. The reason was that Campbell didn’t let the Lions attempt two field goals that would’ve given them a winning edge.

Lions vs 49ers NFC Championship Game

In the last game, Campbell decided to choose fourth down instead of attempting midrange field goals. So, the Lions went for fourth-and-two from the 49ers’ 28-yard line with a 14-point lead in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, they went fourth-and-three from the 49ers’ 30-yard line as they trailed by three.

The sad thing was that both attempts were unsuccessful, leading the opponent to score touchdowns. The Lions lost with a three-point deficit. The field goal was a possible attempt that could’ve won the Lions six points to beat the 49ers to advance to the Super Bowl to face the Kansas City Chiefs. But what has happened has happened and hopefully, it’ll be a lesson for Campbell who might have to brush up on his decisions a little more.
