Tom Brady lauds Andy Reid’s composure over Travis Kelce’s angry outburst

In his latest Let’s Go podcast, Tom Brady said of Reid’s handling, “I think Coach Reid handled it just awesome like he always does…” He also adds another point to his understanding of Coach Reid and Travis Kelce’s incident, saying, “It speaks of the self-confidence that Coach Reid has in himself too. Because he doesn’t take that personally at all. He doesn’t look at that and feel like someone offended him. He takes it for what it is and doesn’t make it more than what it is.”

When Travis Kelce bumped his HC, Coach Reid stumbled backward before he regained his footing. But he remained chilled and later said that he understood that Kelce was emotional. Instead of retaliating, the 65-year-old defended his player saying that the bump just caught me off balance.” But all’s well that ends well because, in the end, it’s the Chiefs who won the coveted title.

In the words of Kelce, “[Coach Reid] has helped me a lot with channeling that emotion, channeling that passion.” Being a hot-tempered person, Kelce added, “I owe my entire career to that guy and how to control how emotional I get. I just love him.” He finished the game with nine catches for 94 yards in the last game, the second straight Super Bowl win for the Chiefs. The Chiefs players are talented, no doubt, but one of their biggest winning factors is that they have an incredible leader in Andy Reid as the HC.
