Jared Stillman has been blunt and never sugarcoated his assessments of Tennessee Titans‘ second-year quarterback Cam Ward. Following Ward’s performances in the first two exhibition games, Stillman simply asked Ward how he would assess his own performance. The signal-caller, meanwhile, turned the question back to Stillman. The radio host and podcaster simply responded, “Not well.”

The consequences, however, don’t seem to have sat well with Stillman. Per reports, the Titans’ PR representatives reached out to Stillman. They informed him that the team had revoked his credentialed access to the team facility and that he was not to be present at press conferences either. After revealing the potential reason behind the team’s decision, Stillman has now once again publicly criticized the organization.

“So I don’t know who ordered the code red…I don’t know if it was Cam Ward. It could have been anyone. The Titans, by doing this, put more pressure on Cam Ward,” Stillman said in a video posted on his X handle. “The one thing that bothers me about this is I do feel like if Cam stinks it up Week one, Week two, then it’s gonna be, ‘Don’t ask Cam Ward any hard questions.’ He can’t play quarterback. He can’t even answer a hard question. He’s got to get that guy banned, and that’s not fair.

“If Cam Ward didn’t go to the Titans and say it’s either him or me or I’ll retire, then it’s not fair to Cam Ward, and I have a hard time believing that Cam did that. I don’t want to speculate because if I speculate on something, I’ll become a conspiracy theorist. But again, this does add more pressure to Cam.”

It’s worth noting that the Titans revoked Stillman’s credentialed access just a year after granting it to him when he left 102.5 The Game in late July 2025. Unlike a conventional reporter associated with a media company, Jared Stillman is an independent YouTuber who covers NFL stories on his channel.

At the same time, his podcast has more than 10,000 subscribers on YouTube, with nearly 35,000 followers across social media. However, Stillman had earlier admitted that this was the major reason behind the revocation of his access to press conferences with the Titans.

“The news is out. Today I got a call from the Tennessee Titans, and I believe it was a professional call, but it was an uncomfortable call nonetheless,” Stillman said. “Their logic was what I do as a YouTuber does not require media access from the team. I’m not a daily beat writer, and I’m not on local radio anymore. I’m not there every day. I’m not ever going to go every day.

“I go when there’s somebody worth talking to, or sometimes, to be completely honest, somebody who, maybe I’ve been critical of, and then that way that gives them a chance, whether it is during the actual media interaction or even if it’s off to the side, to say something if they’ve got something to say. And the Titans told me that this wasn’t about one singular instance. Though I think a lot of people are going to assume that it’s about what happened on Thursday with Cam Ward. You can make those assumptions. I can make those assumptions.”

The team has not made an official statement regarding the situation. But Stillman remains convinced the actual reason is his vocal criticism of Cam Ward.

After Stillman framed Ward’s performance in the first two preseason games, the quarterback pushed back, admitting that he had made progress from Week 1 to Week 2. For broader context, Ward completed 5-of-12 passes for 57 yards against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 and 8-of-12 passes for 69 yards against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2.

Stillman, meanwhile, went on to criticize Ward’s performance on social media. He shared a post reporting that, per PFF, Ward ranked 102nd among 104 quarterbacks who had played in the preseason, with a passing grade of 29.6. Further reports confirmed that Ward had zero completions of more than seven air yards.

Just this past Thursday, August 27, the Nashville-based media personality unleashed a tirade against the Titans QB Ward, labeling him as someone who makes an easy exit for their head coaches.

Factually, it is somewhat true. The 2025 NFL Draft No. 1 overall pick was immediately named the franchise quarterback in Tennessee, a decision that was pushed by the front office, which included the then-HC Brian Callahan.

But when Ward struggled under the bright lights of the NFL and finished the season with a 3-14 record, Callahan received the flak and was fired mid-season.

Considering this instance, Jared Stillman predicted a similar outcome for the current Titans HC Robert Saleh if Cam Ward leads the offense. While it was a blunt take, Stillman believes this criticism was the real reason behind the franchise revoking his access to press conferences and other media activities with the team.
