Tank Dell had a great rookie season in 2023. He had 47 receptions in 709 yards with 7 touchdowns. This year, he injured himself in the week 3 game against the Vikings. Good news, H-Town! The wide receiver is back. He missed the week 4 game against the Jaguars due to bruised ribs (chest injury). However, before the week 5 matchup against the Bills, he is ready to roll.

While talking to Aaron Wilson, the receiver revealed his mindset and said, “I’m ready to go for sure. It was tough. I always want to be out there with the guys, but I feel like I had to take a week off to get myself together. So, I just did what I had to do. It comes with the game. I just had to keep my head up, keep focused, be in the treatment room and training room and get myself together.” Fans are hoping he takes the team to another win.

Though everyone was stunned by his 2023 performances, this year has not yielded similar success. In a 29-27 season opener win against the Colts, he had 3 receptions for 40 yards. But Tank Dell did help Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins score the winning touchdowns. The week 2 game against the Bears was a disappointment for the WR as well. While the team won 19-13, he only recorded 1 of 4 targets with 3 passing yards.

The receiver injured his ribs during the week 3 game against the Vikings. Before going out on the sidelines, he had 5 receptions with 62 yards. But the team lost. Now that he is returning, everyone is pumped up about the week 5 game.

Diggs and Collins are also excited about the return of their fellow receiver.

Tank Dell gives edge to Texans’ wide receiver department

Nico Collins was the hero of the week 4 game against the Jaguars. He had 12 receptions for 151 yards with 1 touchdown. Collins has 100+ yards in 3 out of the first 4 games. In Tank Dell, he has found a perfect ally as he gives him space to move. Both of them, along with Stefon Diggs, have become a triple threat for the rivals.

Diggs has a special connection with the Bills. He played 4 seasons for them from 2020 to 2023. The WR had 100+ receptions with 1000+ yards in all those 4 seasons. Hence, Texans get a unique advantage when the trio is on the field.

It is often seen that either one of the trio helps the team to win the games. If the rivals focus on Tank Dell, then Collins and Diggs can move easily. This got clear in the first 4 games as Collins was the top receiver in 3 games while Diggs was best in one game. It would be interesting to watch how the Bills prepare for the WRs.

Both teams stand equal with a 3-1 win-loss record after 4 weeks. Who will take the edge on the 6th of October? Will Tank Dell be the deciding factor? We’ll find out soon.
