After Lamar Jackson‘s comeback and three consecutive wins, the Baltimore Ravens are finally playing like a playoff team. The last three wins have certainly boosted their confidence ahead of their Week 11 matchup against Cleveland. That matchup also marks a major moment for TE Mark Andrews, who needs just four yards to break Derrick Mason’s franchise receiving record. And on the eve of that milestone, Andrews received a special message from Mason himself.

“Congrats, Mark!” Mason, who played six years in Baltimore, sent his wishes to the 30-year-old TE.

Mark Andrews is already the Ravens’ career touchdowns leader, and now he’s close to another big team record. He needs only four more yards to become Baltimore’s all-time receiving yards leader, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Derrick Mason holds the mark with 5,777 yards from 2005 to 2010. And with 5,774 yards already under his name, Andrews could break the record this Sunday when they face the Browns.

Mark Andrews is also 7 receptions away from Mason’s all-time record of 471 receptions. But there is a low chance of him breaking that in the week 11 game. In 2025, the Ravens’ TE has only recorded more than 7 catches once, in the week 4 game against the Chiefs. He has already crossed the first level of the Triple Crown with 56 receiving TDs, most for the Ravens.

However, the veteran tight end is not focused on the milestone.

“Just continue to do my job, not looking really too much into that, but focusing on this game, executing at the highest level and continue to grow from week to week, and we’re excited about the challenge this week,” Andrews said early in the week when asked about his emotions.

But the Ravens veteran is also set to match the record of another league veteran, Travis Kelce. Their careers have been phenomenal.

Mark Andrews is on course to be like Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce owns the bigger career totals. In 184 games, he has 1,045 catches for 12,691 yards and 80 touchdowns. Kelce is the Chiefs all-time leader in the triple crown category. His workload and durability push him into rare territory. But Mark Andrews is set to enter it soon.

In 113 games for the Ravens, he has posted 465 catches for 5,774 yards and 56 scores. He fumbles less than Kelce and stays efficient across every season. So, the Ravens TE has shown almost equal talent. His strategy is also unique.

“Just finding a way to get open, having Lamar back there, playing football and being a big body target,” Andrews credited his signal caller for helping him out on the field.

The TE’s best season came in 2021. He played all 17 games and caught 107 passes for 1,361 yards and 9 touchdowns. Mark Andrews set career highs in targets (153), first downs (75), yards per game (80.1), and receptions per game (6.3). He plays like a WR1 in a tight end body that year. Kelce still beats Andrews in total resume.

He simply plays longer and handles far more volume. Andrews matches Kelce in efficiency across almost every category. He edges Kelce in yards per catch and stays nearly equal in yards per target. At his peak in 2021, Andrews hit a level even Kelce rarely reaches in single-season yardage.

Kelce looks like the all-time accumulator with rare consistency. Andrews looks like the elite, high-impact tight end who puts up Kelce-level efficiency and delivers massive peak years when fully healthy.
