Tua Tagovailoa, the Miami Dolphins quarterback, reflected on the mixed emotions he faced during his childhood. Tagovailoa and his team are in a strong position in this 2023 NFL season. Moreover, in his second year of coaching the team, the Dolphins’ head coach, Mike McDaniel, brought the Dolphins to the top of the AFC East. After ending their 2022 season with nine victories and eight defeats, the Dolphins are on a quest to reach the ultimate Super Bow goal.

Tua Tagovailoa remembers his childhood

The Miami Dolphins’ YouTube channel uploaded a video of a press conference featuring Tua Tagovailoa. When asked about his childhood, the young QB revealed that he received socks as a Christmas gift.

Tagovailoa said, “I would say when I was young being a kid, you probably want toys like Nerf guns and things like that. I got socks from someone, and as a kid, that was probably me thinking that was probably the worst thing I thought I’d gotten. The best thing I think that I had gotten was that it was like one of those chargers like you could charge like an ATV or something.” 

Tagovailoa further shared, “Then there were really no brakes on it. You just had like a pedal when you sat on it, on the right side, and when you released, it would stop going. That was probably the best gift I had growing up as a kid, uh, that I can remember.” However, as of now, Tagovaoila is leading the Dolphins and looking forward to ending their Super Bowl drought.

QB taking the Dolphins forward

The Dolphins won two Super Bowl championships, 1972 and 1973. After that, they have merely aspired for a championship, but the Dolphins look different this season. With everything in their favor, the team’s wide receiver, Tyreek Hill, is on the path to complete 2,000 receiving yards this season. Moreover, Tagovailoa scored 3,457 yards and 24 touchdowns in this season. 

Head coach McDaniel is leading the team from the sidelines. The Dolphins are one of the top-seed contenders in the AFC Conference. The Dolphins have five more games to play in the regular season, and until now, they have a record of 9-3.
