Wide receiver Mack Hollins caught eyeballs long before taking the field at Levi’s Stadium for Super Bowl LX. The 32-year–old Patriot arrived for the biggest game of the year in a strange fashion. Known for his unconventional style, Hollins blended pop culture and symbolism to poke fun at Seattle Seahawks co-owner Jody Allen. Hollins’ move naturally took fans by surprise, and they couldn’t stop talking.

As paparazzi followed players arriving at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara for the season’s ultimate game, Mack Hollins had plenty of eyes on him. He turned up in an outfit inspired by the iconic villain Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs. It was apparently one of the most bizarre Super Bowl arrivals in recent years. Interestingly, Hollins’ look was likely a playful nod toward Seattle’s co-owner, Jody Allen.
Meanwhile, the wideout also referenced actress Jodie Foster, who acted alongside Anthony Hopkins in the 1991 horror thriller. As for his look, he stayed true to the character, sporting an all-red outfit that looked like a prison jumpsuit. He also wore handcuffs, had his ankles chained, and covered half of his face with a plastic mask. It closely resembled Lecter’s notorious restraint mask.
Hollins walked into the stadium barefoot, wearing an all-red outfit resembling a prison jumpsuit. His wrists were cuffed, his ankles chained, and a clear plastic mask covered his face, completing the eerie look.

Later, Hollins changed into head coach Mike Vrabel’s high school football jersey as he stepped onto the field for pre-game warm-ups. Maintaining his long-standing tradition, he kept his feet bare on the field. It’s a habit he adopted after learning from Melbourne Muscular Therapy’s trainers, who encourage going shoeless for natural movement.
According to Hollins, the routine helps him feel grounded and prepared. Meanwhile, Hollins grabbed headlines for pulling a similar move ahead of the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos. Back then, he paid homage to the 1979 cult classic The Warriors. He clinked glass bottles together while saying out loud the movie’s iconic line.
“Warriors, come out to play-ay!” he shouted.
And naturally, Mack Hollins’ look sparked a flurry of powerful reactions on social media.

Super Bowl LX drew in plenty of celebrities, including Kylie Jenner, Travis Scott, and Sofía Vergara. And yet, Hollins’ look stood out for its pop-culture flair and peculiarity. It garnered a wide range of reactions, which were equal parts shock, humor, and admiration.
One fan wrote sarcastically, “He looks focused on the final.”
This comment threw subtle shade at Hollins for putting extra effort into his outfit when he should be focusing on his game preparation instead.
“All this for 2 rec for 25 yards, ” another comment read.
“Will this be his only highlight of the day?” the third user wrote.
Both these comments took a dig at Hollins’ on-field performance. During the 10-7 championship win over the Broncos, he recorded just two receptions for 51 yards. In fact, the player posted over five receptions only once in the last five of his regular-season games. While the criticism is valid, the player has put up his second-best season since 2022, when he played for the Las Vegas Raiders. In the 2025 regular season, he amassed 46 receptions on 65 targets, 550 receiving yards, and two touchdowns.
The fourth user wrote, “This m- so weird. I wouldn’t trust him in a big game like the SB @Patriots,” while another described him as an “NFL felon,” saying it’s not a matter of flex.
Then, some netizens cringed at the move and even questioned Hollins’ fashion choice. Amid all the criticism and brutal trolling, some outliers welcomed the player’s approach to the final.
“Mack Hollins bringing that unique energy to the big stage love to see his personality shine before kickoff! ” one user wrote.
As Super Bowl LX action continues, we hope this won’t remain as the only highlight for Hollins today.
