Before the Super Bowl earlier this year, Brittany Mahomes was busy packing her luggage to travel to New Orleans. She needed plenty of travel-ready styles, and that was the reason she ordered outfits from Abercrombie & Fitch. “Their denim is amazing,” the longtime ambassador for the brand had written in her Instagram stories while showing off her new pair of jeans. It seems her love for the label has only grown.

No wonder she took a moment to advertise the brand. “#AbercrombiePartner Red Friday,” she wrote in a new Instagram post. “All NFL is 25% off at @abercrombie right now! All my fav’s are linked here: https://liketk.it/5q5bE @shop.ltk #liketkit.

Mrs. Mahomes also posted a carousel of four images where she was seen wearing the Chiefs‘ red. Here are the exact details of what she was wearing:

Additionally, Brittany Mahomes has previously been seen sporting the brand’s loose jeans, low-rise rise baggy pants, as well as a couple of athletic sets from Abercrombie’s workout brand: the YPB StudioFlex. But all of that was for a reason. A partnership was being inked behind closed doors.

In August, the NFL and Abercrombie & Fitch announced a multi-year deal. The label was named the Official NFL Fashion Partner—the first of its kind for a league sponsor. But how did it happen?

Well, the brand had launched NFL-licensed items and apparel in 2022. While it took both sides to join forces, the partnership aimed to redefine fan style through a fashion-first lens.

No wonder the label dropped new game-day apparel for all 32 teams in August, after the partnership was revealed. So, as fans prepared to tailgate, attend games, or stream the games at home, they also had the chance of stocking up on NFL merch well before the regular season started.

However, this partnership also leads to a much newer phenomenon.

Leagues have partnered with athletic brands for decades, but deals with fashion brands are a rather innovative way of keeping fans interested. Think about the NBA and WNBA embracing the tunnel walk. Some players have been lauded for their fashion. And while the NFL was slightly slower to make that shift, it still has many known names dedicated to fashion.

NFL stars like Christian McCaffrey, Amon-Ra St. Brown, CeeDee Lamb, and Tee Higgins are known for their style off the field. And the partnership intends to help the players have access to curated outfits and in-house styling experts.

“As the NFL continues to evolve, we are partnering with brands that share our strategic vision,” NFL senior vice president of global partnerships Tracie Rodburg revealed. “Naming Abercrombie & Fitch as an official sponsor reinforces our position as a growing leader in the fashion community, creating deeper connections with our fans at the convergence of fandom and fashion and celebrating our players’ dynamic style.”

On the same note, Brittany Mahomes is also one of the names who is lauded for her outfits and fashion when attending Chiefs’ games. In fact, she made a similar promotional post for Abercrombie last month, too.

However, Abercrombie & Fitch is not the only label she swears by to look gameday ready. Let us not forget that Patrick Mahomes’ wife loves to sport great hair as well. She loves Divi for her scalp and hair health, which ultimately makes styling easier.
