Fans often go overboard with their feelings regarding their favorite players or teams. They can’t handle it when someone calls out or puts down their favorites. Sometimes, they even go to extreme lengths to prove their point. These days, most fans run to X to flood it with their opinions. This time, Lions fans have taken over Pat McAfee‘s X comment section under a post he made after the Eagles beat the Ravens 24-19.

The Eagles have performed strongly this season, winning 10 out of 12 games. It’s a record that would make anyone praise them. However, as the renowned sports analyst Pat McAfee praised the Eagles, it didn’t sit too well with the Lions fans.

The Ravens hosted the Eagles at M&T Bank Stadium in Week 13 of the league. And Jalen Hurts’ squad threw another roadblock in Lamar Jackson’s playoff run. The Eagles locked in their eighth straight win, and Pat McAfee was full of praise for them on his Pat McAfee Show on ESPN. “The Philadelphia Eagles got a MASSIVE win in Baltimore. I think they’re the BEST team in football right now”, writes McAfee as he shared a clip from his show.

Hyping up the Eagles’ defense and offense, the former punter said, “Jalen Hurts obviously has the capability with the weapons outside and Dallas Goedert, who’s an absolute beast to kind of open it up.” Lions’ fans were quick to hit up X, letting him know their team is way better than Nick Sirianni’s. “Not even close. Lions have 80% of their defense out injured and still better record,” a fan wrote. The Lions have eleven wins in their column, and so far, they have only lost one game. They have been one of the top teams this season, along with the Chiefs and Bills.

And with that in mind, it’s no surprise Detroit fans will go all out when it comes to picking the best team of the season. “Lions better. America’s Coach, America’s team”, another Lions fan wrote. Looks like McAfee’s comment section has turned into a full-blown war-zone. While Lions fans are fighting it out on the internet, their RB Jahmyr Gibbs is in trouble for posting a picture online.

Did Jahmyr Gibbs make Dan Campbell upset?

As fans keep buzzing over Pat McAfee’s take, another drama is brewing within the Lions team. It all kicked off when Jahmyr Gibbs shared a picture from the team’s meeting room. What’s the harm in that? Well, in the picture, Lions RB Jermar Jefferson can be seen posing in front of a whiteboard, where the team’s strategic plans are outlined. Since then, the media has been bombarding head coach Dan Campbell with questions.

At first, Campbell refrained from commenting on the situation. But recently, he cleared up his stance on the whole drama. Fed up with all the questions being thrown his way, the HC said, “I don’t really give a crap.” Uh-oh, is he angry with Gibbs over the whole situation or what? Looks like he’s not, as he clarified that if they lose because the team’s strategic plans and code words become known, then they’re not good enough, anyway. He added that he could post every code they use, and no team can affect their play style. He is that confident in his guys.

Thankfully, Jahmyr Gibbs dodged a bullet. He’ll need to be more careful in the future about what he posts on the internet. Otherwise, who knows, the fans who are beefing with Pat McAfee for the team might start trolling them next.
