Zoe is following in the footsteps of her sister-in-law, Brittany Mahomes, a former professional soccer player. Brittany may have left soccer on the field, but she is still very much involved with the sport. Considering she is now a co-owner of the NWSL team, the Kansas City Current, Zoe may have gotten the inspiration to play soccer through her big brother’s wife. Still only 11, Zoe is making quite a name for herself ever since she signed with Sting 14G Pre-ECNL Flynn soccer club.

You would have to go back to July of last year when Zoe landed her first official soccer contract. Her father, Pat Mahomes Sr., couldn’t be more proud seeing her 10-year-old daughter living up to the family legacy. “Signing Part 2024,” Pat wrote on Instagram as a nervous Zoe was captured with a grin while holding the pen to her dream contract. Well, since then, Pat has never missed an opportunity to showcase Zoe’s accomplishments. Again last year, when Zoe scored a memorable hat-trick, Pat proudly celebrated her moment, writing on Instagram, “Yep. Did it again. Keep grinding, baby girl.”

Honestly, Zoe’s grind on the soccer field is starting to reach bigger heights. Now, almost a year into her first professional soccer endeavor. Zoe is leading her team on the international stage. A recent post on her Instagram spotlighted Zoe hitting a juicy half-volley from the center of the field. Here’s how it happened: The Opposition goalkeeper had just restarted the play with a goal kick. Then, Zoe, who plays center midfield, cushioned the ball onto her chest. While it was not a perfect reception, Zoe instantly retrieved the ball again, showing her grit and determination. Then, out of nowhere, she brought out a thunderous strike almost 30 yards from the goal. The result?

An extraordinary goal, one for the cameras as Zoe’s caption read, “Extra(Ordinary) Game 2⚽️Goal 2 Solar International Girls Cup.” Eleven-year-old Zoe was out there playing in the largest and most competitive international girls’ only tournament in the US. Featuring some of the best clubs globally, like Ajax, CF Monterrey Femenil, Futurez, and more. Zoe showcasing her ball talent against internationally proven players only shows how far she has come.

Her flexibility to carry the ball and chip in with occasional worldies already makes her a standout performer. But Zoe’s steady rise in soccer still doesn’t earn the appreciation from his brother. Not only Patrick. Zoe’s probable role model, Brittany, also hasn’t congratulated the young soccer star on her journey. Actually acknowledging Zoe’s achievements is a different thing. Patrick and Brittany didn’t even bother to wish Zoe a happy 11th birthday.

But Patrick and Brittany, to whom Zoe looks up, haven’t reciprocated that energy. The latest instance came on Zoe’s 11th birthday. While his father made multiple posts on Mahomes’ half-sister’s birthday, Patrick and Brittany didn’t even acknowledge her birthday publicly. It was radio silence on their end.

Zoe’s father tried to fill the emptiness by sharing a video of them dancing. He also posted a photo of Zoe wearing Patrick’s No. 15 Chiefs jersey as she and Pat took a stroll down the street.
