While Bears rookie QB, Caleb Williams, has already led the team in a 1-1 victory, the Indianapolis Colts had a rocky 0-2 start in NFL season 2024 under quarterback Anthony Richardson. And for people hoping to avoid a 0-3 loss for the Colts, LeBron James’ prediction came as a ray of hope. 

Los Angeles Lakers legend LeBron James appeared on GoJo and Golic and stated, “I am going with the Colts,” predicting they will have their first win at home. He believes Richardson will have a great game with his home crowd behind him, because pressure has been an issue for the Bears.

Even the pressure exerted by the Colts on the O-line, at which they’re already averaging just 3.5 yards per rush, ranking 29th and only 48 yards on 24 carries by their lead ball carrier D’Andre Swift. The Bears HC has talked about working on it. “It really comes back to us and knowing that as an offense we want to be able to establish the run in every game we play in.”And they are focusing on“hitting the blocks the correct way” while investing in ways to improve the offense.

But what about the Colts? We all know how weak the Colts‘ run defense has been through two games, allowing 237 rushing yards per game thus far, with both Houston and Green Bay running wild on Indianapolis’ front seven. That isn’t the only problem the Colts will face in Week 3, either. Their Pro Bowl DT DeForest Buckner was put on the IR with a sprained right ankle. That means the Colts will be without three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle DeForest Buckner for at least four games.

Therefore, the main focus is now just on Anthony Richardson, who didn’t have a good performance in the last games.

What did Anthony Richardson say about his performance? 

This season, Richardson has only completed 49.1 percent of his passes and has been a feast-or-famine type of QB. When asked about it he mentioned, “Obviously, we didn’t do enough,” further adding, “If we scored more points than the other team, we win. So that’s the main thing on our mind.” And his focus will be on getting more points in the future game.

Even if Anthony Richardson has already started 13 games before being picked by the Colts. In 2023 NFL No. 4 pick played only 4 games and a total of 3 touchdowns as a rookie. And in week 2 and week 5, he suffered two injuries. Though Caleb has not faced any injury he could not get any touchdown in the 2 games. So if you look at their performances LeBrons’ statement might be right, but only time will tell the future.
