Essentials Inside The Story
- Sophie Hall's lawsuit accuses Hill of battery, assault, and negligence after an incident from June 28, 2023
- Hill’s lawyers successfully argued there was no legal basis to pass Hall's motion from December last year
- The case is scheduled for trial this month with Hall claiming damages in excess of $50,000
Tyreek Hill’s legal issues with model Sophie Hall trace back to his second season with the Miami Dolphins. It all started after Hall bought a ticket for her then-10-year-old son to attend Hill’s football camp in June 2023. Fast forward to 2024, the model was suing him for breaking her leg. With no final decision from the court, Hall played another card.

In December 2025, she filed a motion to force Hill into a psychological exam. Just months in, though, Judge David Haines has announced his ruling because a psych eval would have served two purposes, of course, all for the plaintiff’s advantage:
First, it would’ve analyzed Hill’s patterned aggressive behavior. And second, it could’ve proven his culpability in the alleged incident. However, this week, TMZ reported that Judge Haines denied Hall’s request to force Hill to undergo a court-mandated psychological evaluation.

The reasoning behind it came from Hill’s legal team, which argued that there was no legal basis to force Hill into a psychological exam as Hall had not demonstrated that Hill’s mental state was directly at issue in the case. Judge Haines sided with Hill on that point. Interestingly, Hall’s argument for the relevancy to the June 2023 dustup, which left Hall nursing a badly fractured right leg, also made sense.
Hall’s filing argued that the evaluation was “critical” to the case, as an expert in the field could “evaluate the defendant’s longstanding pattern of anger and aggression towards others, particularly women.
“His documented history of violent behavior, including issues related to anger management, impulse control and aggression, which are directly in controversy and forms a critical component of this case.”

Here’s where it gets even more interesting, though.
Back in June 2023, right after the incident, Hill reportedly piggybacked Hall to his room. Reports even claim that at that time, Hall was asked to rest in another room, but she rejected the option. Now, she’s asking for a five-digit check.

The case is scheduled for trial this month with Hall claiming damages in excess of $50,000 for assault, negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Meanwhile, the judge denying a psych eval, which can be reversed at any time, was rare, as Hill has had previous lawsuits that prove his behavior.
Hill’s legal history might be the key to getting Hall a psych eval
The wideout is no stranger to lawsuits in his personal life. One even dates back to when he was kicked off the Oklahoma State team in 2014. Then, he was accused of choking his pregnant fiancée, 20-year-old Crystal Espinal. Reports even claimed that he tossed her about ‘like a ragdoll’. He was sentenced to three years of probation and anger management classes. Just a few years down the line, it happened again.

In 2019, the Kansas City Chiefs suspended Hill over an allegation that he broke his then-three-year-old son’s arm. However, he protested his innocence and was never charged. And then came her estranged wife’s case.
Before leaving him after the whole Hall scandal, his then-29-year-old estranged wife, Keeta Vaccaro, accused Hill of punching her, ripping out her hair, and spitting in her face in 2025 divorce documents.

The current broader dispute itself traces back to 2023, when Hall alleged that Hill broke her leg during what was supposed to be a football practice session at his Miami-area mansion. The civil case stemming from that incident is still ongoing.

Tyreek Hill’s legal battle with Sophie Hall
At some point after Sophie first met with Hill in 2023, the WR reportedly invited her to his South Florida home to hang out and go through some football drills. That visit, however, eventually led to the incident now sitting at the center of the lawsuit.
It took place on June 28, 2023, at Hill’s house in Southwest Ranches, Florida. According to Hall, Tyreek had been working out with his football trainer on a turf field at his mansion. Once that session wrapped up, he invited her to participate in those offensive line drills.

“Defendant Hill asked Ms. Hall to stand in a defensive line stance while he stood opposite her in an offensive lineman stance, ‘hiked’ the ball to the quarterback, and told her to rush him as if she wanted to chase the quarterback,” the lawsuit states.
“Ms. Hall did as instructed and on contact with the Defendant, caused Hill to be pushed backwards, garnering laughter from the witnesses present at the time, including the Defendant’s mother, sister, friend and trainer.”
Sophie alleged that Hill’s “attitude changed and he became angry” as they lined up for another play. This time, Hill took the defensive line position while Hall continued holding her own during the drill.

Sophie claims Hill “charged into her violently and with great force,” causing significant injuries. Hill initially downplayed the injury. However, when Hall returned to her home a few days later, she got her right leg screened to find a fracture. She ultimately required surgery, followed by the insertion of metal hardware.
Months later, Hall filed a lawsuit against Tyreek Hill. In the complaint, she accused the receiver of battery, negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She also sought compensation for medical bills, pain and suffering, and other damages tied to the injury.
Hill’s legal team, meanwhile, has argued the injury was accidental. But the case itself remains ongoing. For now, though, the only immediate relief for the receiver is that he will not be required to undergo a psychological exam as part of the proceedings.
