So, the Browns are wasting no time in rubbing Myles Garrett’s extension in the NFL’s face. After months of crazy twists and turns surrounding Garrett’s future—will he stay or will he go? The Browns 6-time Pro Bowl edge rusher decided to sacrifice his Super Bowl dreams to continue fighting in Cleveland. Like to be honest, no one probably saw this coming considering Garrett was completely against staying with the Browns. But the moment he signed the contract extension papers. Browns were quick to remind one of their divisional rivals of what’s coming soon.

Browns official X handle dropped a picture of Garrett standing over Bengals QB Joe Burrow after sacking him. Their admin also wrote, “Is now a good time to bring this back?” Translation: This wasn’t the first time the Browns used that picture of Garrett roaring above as Burrow laid helplessly on the ground. You will have to go back to August before last season even started when the Browns used that same picture to troll the Bengals.

When Cincinnati announced last year that they were adding orange pants to their uniforms, the Browns were quick to taunt them. They noticed the announcement and decided to post a throwback picture from the 2023 season’s opener. At that time, the Browns came out victorious, winning a blowout 24-3. But there was this one moment that stood out the most. Garrett only got one sack in that game, but the one he got turned into a meme.

He had Bengals like orange pants on as the Browns wrote, “just thinking about our orange pants.” Well, for Cleveland, it was basically a copycat situation that they didn’t like. But instead of calling out the Bengals directly. They chose to embarrass them with some banter. I guess that banter will reach some bigger heights once the Browns and the Bengals do meet next season. Because there’s no way they will let go of another opportunity to call out their AFC North rivals the moment Garrett gets another sack on Burrow.

And considering that they went above and beyond to keep their star pass rusher in Cleveland, not only the Bengals but also 30 other franchises should remain wary of Garrett.

Browns make Myles Garrett the richest non-QB to stop him from chasing his Super Bowl dreams

Since last month, Garrett was quite adamant about his dreams of pursuing a Vince Lombardi. I mean he knew the Browns were never going to reach the Super Bowl, when they finished 4-13. Super Bowl is a distant dream—they don’t even look like playoff contenders. With no QBs and a roster that has underperformed every year barring him, of course. Myles Garrett’s frustration finally gave in. And he requested a trade away from Cleveland stating, “his goal was never to go from Cleveland to Canton, it has always been to compete for and win a Super Bowl.”

But that ambition suddenly had a change of heart today. His agent Nicole Lynn, who negotiated his $160M extension, told Mary Kay Cabot, “Myles had a change of heart and he’s excited to go from Cleveland to Canton and chase a championship in Ohio.” To be honest, is it really possible for Garrett to capture a trophy in Cleveland? See in the NFL you can never rule out anything. Who knows maybe the Browns can draft either Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders to address their QB woes. And maybe either of them will push the Browns for a Super Bowl trip.

Judging by Jayden Daniels’ impact in Washington on how he turned around a Commanders side that finished 4-13 to one game away from the Super Bowl in his first year. Anything can happen. And with Garrett still on board, the Browns’ chances of making the Super Bowl stay alive. You just never know. It might be him who will have the last laugh when the Browns shock everyone and punch a ticket to the Super Bowl sometime in the future.
