‘Grief’–that’s the sentiment all over Ravens Nation right now. Baltimore’s official X account just dropped some heartbreaking news: Coach Joe D’Alessandris has passed away at 70. Their tweet said it all: “Our hearts ache with grief and sadness upon learning of Coach Joe D’Alessandris’ passing.” 

Ravens’ HC John Harbaugh didn’t hold back in his tribute, calling Joe D. “a man of integrity and faith” who made everyone better. Harbaugh added, painting a vivid picture of a man cherished beyond football fields: “He was a good man. He raised three incredible, beautiful daughters and was a most loving husband. His grandkids adored him. May God bless Joe. D forever.”

Feeling the loss just like the rest of the Ravens community, Lamar Jackson took to IG with a simple, heartfelt message: “Get your rest, coach.” Baltimore’s GM Eric DeCosta also shared his thoughts: “Joe. D was a rock, a great coach, and a better person. He cared deeply about the team.” Kansas City’s WR Hollywood Brown also posted on X “Fly high, Joe D. Love this guy,” while former wideout Antonio Brown tweeted, “RIP king.” Torrey Smith, another former Raven, added a simple “🙏🏻” in his memory.
