However, other players in the locker room feel the same way about the receiver. WR Garrett Wilson is one among those who are excited after this trade.

After the 23-20 shocking defeat against the Bills, Wilson was visibly frustrated. It was his best game till now in the season, with 8 receptions for 107 yards and 1 touchdown, but they lost. Though he said in the post-game conference that the team needs to work out the details, the arrival of Davante Adams gives him a chance to turn around the season.

It also gives an edge to Aaron Rodgers. The QB and WR played 8 seasons together at the Green Bay Packers. A-Rod had wished him to join the Jets. However, at that time, Adams was a loyal Raider. As soon as the trade possibility was announced, he and the Jets management were in the race to acquire him. Finally, they did.

The veteran receiver, too, is excited about his new team. Fans were shocked when he picked up a FaceTime by former Packers teammate James Jones after the trade was announced. Jones was present on The Facility show with Emmanuel Acho and other analysts when they called him.

Jones, being his former teammate, FaceTime’d him, and surprisingly. Davante Adams picked up. He talked to him briefly and said that he was happy with the trade. Adams also said he was ready to play with Garrett Wilson and other receivers. Jones and others were also surprised and congratulated him before wrapping the call.

The WR later met Rodgers at the Jets’ facility in Florham Park, New Jersey and said, “We’re back, man.” The QB later appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and shared his excitement by saying, “Obviously, I’m really excited. It’s on us now. We’re going all-in.” The coach Jeff Ulbrich is also happy with the trade. However, he didn’t reveal if the veteran WR would play against Steelers on October 20.

Now that the trade has been finalized, the Gang Green is pumped up. They want Ulbrich and company to go all in and win games. The season is at a very decisive stage. Though the Jets are 2-4, they can still script a comeback.
