Nobody would have thought that the highly anticipated matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders would end up like this. The crucial regular-season matchup, where both teams had their playoff aspirations intact, faced a major score difference. The Raiders hosted their rivals, the Chargers, at their home ground, Allegiant Staidum, and seemingly they took advantage of it.

The Chargers were resting in the third position in the NFC West division, just above the Raiders. However, the bottomers, the latter, dominated the former until halftime by not letting them score a single point, and the NFL fraternity is just stunned about it.

Pat McAfee took to his Twitter account to share his reaction following the halftime score between the Raiders and Chargers matchup. Until halftime, the Raiders completely dominated the gridiron with a score line of 42-0. And McAfee just can’t believe what happened. 

Sharing his reaction, McAfee wrote, “42-0 at halftime is tough to do… that’s just an assbeating that isn’t supposed to happen in professional athletics. What a performance by this Raiders team.”

This matchup was anticipated due to an iconic moment in NFL history. This was the first game where all blacks were on the field, and the replay crew officiated the game. The three women of the same crew will be on the field, and the other two will be in the replay cubicle. However, in the end, the Raiders took away all the attention with their dominance.

The Raiders humiliate the Chargers

The hosting team, the Raiders, created history with their halftime dominance (42-0) over the Chargers. In team history, it’s the maximum halftime lead that the Raiders have scored over any team. Moreover, it’s the second-highest halftime lead in NFL history, just after the New England Patriots‘ 45-0 halftime lead against the Tennessee Titans. 

The Raiders’ 6 touchdowns in the first half led to this dominant score, primarily contributed by quarterback Aidan O’Connell. Before the game, there were rumors surrounding the Chargers’ head coach being fired after the game. Meanwhile, after this gameplay, the rumors can be manifested into reality.
