Week 8 of the NFL season was filled with blowouts, and typically, that means quite a few people had some big games. That was true this weekend, especially at the running back position. Quite a few guys had massive 150+ yard, multi-touchdown games, which made this top 10 list incredibly hard to make, but I gave it a shot.

Here were my top 10 performers from Week 8 of the NFL season.

1. Myles Garrett, DE, Cleveland Browns

There was absolutely no competition for this top spot. I know the Cleveland Browns lost, but man, did Myles Garrett have himself a day on Sunday. The Browns’ star pass rusher sacked Drake Maye five times in the loss, which is tied for the ninth-most in a single game by any player.

Garrett is one of the most feared defenders in the NFL, and Sunday was a prime example of why.

2. James Cook, RB, Buffalo Bills

Okay, I said there was absolutely no competition for the top spot, but James Cook put a little bit of pressure on Garrett. The Buffalo Bills’ star rushed for 216 yards and two touchdowns behind an 11.4 average. It was the most rushing yards in a single game this season, and he is now the second player to rush for 200+ this year, joining Rico Dowdle.

Cook had a massive day and played a huge role in the Bills’ 40-9 blowout.

Stat Line: 216 yards (11.4 average), 2 TD

3. Breece Hall, RB, New York Jets

If Cook didn’t exist, Breece Hall would be the top offensive performer of the week. Regardless, it was still a very impressive performance for Hall, who ran for 133 yards and two scores while adding another touchdown, not as a receiver, but as a rusher.

Hall was the X-factor for the New York Jets’ first win of the season, so he deserves the last spot on the podium this week.

Stat Line: 133 yards (7.4 average), 2 TD, 14 receiving yards,

4. Jonathan Taylor, RB, Indianapolis Colts

Time for our regularly scheduled program, where we talk about how awesome Jonathan Taylor was this week. The Indianapolis Colts keep running through everyone, and Taylor is a huge reason why. On Sunday, Taylor carried the ball just 12 times, but ran for 153 yards and two scores while adding 21 yards and a touchdown in the pass game.

He should be towards the top of the MVP conversation after this performance, and to be honest, he should’ve been last week as well.

Stat Line: 12 carries, 153 yards, 2 TD, 21 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD

5. Anthony Nelson, LB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

After a load of running backs, we finally get another defender on this list. Anthony Nelson had himself a day against the New Orleans Saints, racking up a pair of sacks and returning an interception for a touchdown. He took full advantage of the Saints’ offensive deficiencies and had himself a career day.

Stat Line: 2 sacks, 1 INT, 1 TD

6. Tucker Kraft, TE, Green Bay Packers

Tucker Kraft is our first and (spoiler alert) only pass catcher to make this list in Week 8, but he completely deserved it. He helped the Green Bay Packers dominate the Pittsburgh Steelers, particularly in the second half, catching seven passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns. On National Tight End Day, Kraft represented his position very well.

Stat Line: 7 receptions, 143 yards, 2 TD

7. Bo Nix, QB, Denver Broncos

Bo Nix continues to find himself on this list week after week. After pulling off a miracle comeback a week ago, things were much more straightforward for the second-year man this time around. He threw for 247 yards and four scores against the Dallas Cowboys, making him our top QB of the week.

This was a down week for quarterback play, but Nix still stood out, even if it was against the worst defense in the league.

Stat Line: 19-for-29, 247 yards, 4 TD, 1 INT

8. Jordan Love, QB, Green Bay Packers

Another quarterback finding himself on this list is Jordan Love. We typically try to stray away from putting two players from the same game on this list, but Love’s performance warranted the change. He absolutely balled out in a night that was supposed to be all about Aaron Rodgers, throwing for 360 yards and three scores as he led a second-half comeback to move the Packers to 5-1-1.

Stat Line: 29-for-37, 360 yards, 3 TD

9. Saquon Barkley, RB, Philadelphia Eagles

This was one heck of a day for running backs around the league. Saquon Barkley, who has strangely been a non-factor this year, had a massive game on Sunday in the Philadelphia Eagles’ 38-20 win over the New York Giants.

Barkley ripped off a 65-yard touchdown on the opening drive and went on to rush for 150 yards on 14 carries, while adding 24 more yards and another score through the air. This was the first big game we’ve seen from Barkley all year, so we’ll see if this is a turning point for him moving forward.

Stat Line: 150 yards (10.7 average), 1 TD, 24 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD

10. Justin Eboigbe, DT, Los Angeles Chargers

Rounding out our list is Thursday night standout Justin Eboigbe, who had a breakout game against the Vikings. Eboigbe logged four pressures, three QB hits, two sacks, and two tackles for loss in the Chargers’ 37-10 win over the Vikings. He was a large reason the Chargers’ defense had so much success against the Vikings’ offense, and he deserves the final spot on this list.

Stat Line: 4 pressures, 3 QB hits, 2 sacks, 2 TFLs
