The Kansas City Chiefs were on cloud nine with their 9-0 streak—until yesterday. Everyone was talking about how any team that beat the Chiefs would be making a huge statement. A lot of teams tried, but none of them could pull it off. That is until the Buffalo Bills stepped up and did it. Yes, you read that right, the undefeated former champions finally took a loss. In Week 11, the Bills handed the Chiefs a 30-21 defeat. The Bills proved that it’s not easy to knock them down on their home turf. Post the game, during their media addresses, the dynamic duo of Bills QB Josh Allen and DE Von Miller shared some behind-the-scenes insights.

The duo shared what was going through their minds in the moments before they took the field. Von Miller talked about the pep talk head coach Sean McDermott gave them to keep the energy up and spirits high. Though, Miller wasn’t all that interested in it. Or, more like, he disagreed with what the coach had said. When the coach said, “It’s just another game, and 100 years from now, nobody’s gonna remember.” The Bills DE wasn’t on the same page. In his mind, he was thinking, “F**k  that! This is a big game.”

QB Josh Allen shared that he was fully aware of what this game meant for the fans. “It means we have to nine wins”, said Allen. Adding on, his buddy, Bills DE said, When the bright lights come on, we rise to the occasion. And we don’t need to sugarcoat it to take the pressure off of us.” The Bills Mafia can surely relate to Miller. They must be on cloud nine after the Bills’ win. After all, a victory on home turf is always something special.

The Bills have been playing strong this season. They are comfortably ruling the AFC East with a 9-2 record. And with their latest win, especially beating the Chiefs, they’ve pretty much locked in their playoff spot. It was their sixth straight win, and for the fifth time this season, they’ve put up 30+ points.

Von Miller admires his team, the Bills, a lot.

Von Miller kicked off his NFL career in 2011 with the Denver Broncos. After 11 solid seasons with them, he had a quick stop with the Rams in 2021. Then, in 2022, the Texas native signed a massive $120 million deal with the Bills. Once he joined the Bills, he clicked with the team right away. He’s always showing love for his team, coaches, and teammates, especially QB Josh Allen. It seems like Miller and Allen are practically best buddies.

After their biggest win of the season yesterday, he didn’t hold back on praising the QB. “[That’s] my quarterback. I f**king love that guy”, said Miller. He’s mentioned before that one of the big reasons he signed with the Bills was because of his huge admiration for Josh Allen. Building on his comments after yesterday’s win, he added, “It felt like everything that we had been doing individually, unit-wise, and all together just kind of came to a head at the right time. I’m so proud of my guys.” And so are all the Bills fans.

Moving on, the Bills will now have a short break as they head into their bye week. They’ll return to the field in the Christmas month, facing off against the 49ers. Until then, they can relax, or maybe focus on locking in their next win.
