Shilo Sanders is making himself stand out in Tampa Bay, away from the shadow cast by Coach Prime. But while the father-son duo engage in playful banters now and then, there’s a piece missing from Shilo’s life. And that’s his mother, Pilar Sanders. Pilar is always rooting for Shilo. She was encouraging Shilo to get that car as a reward for achieving the Pro-Day target set by Deion. And that’s just one instance. But Colorado is miles and miles away, and that distance seems to be hitting Shilo hard.

When Shilo did his Browns locker room tour, he wore his new Bucs gloves and called them “interception gloves”. Pilar had doubled down on his resolution with a comment of her own. “Yes ‘Interception Gloves’ 👏🏽👏🏽😂😂😂” She’s always up for hyping up her football star boys,  but when Shilo Sanders made a confession recently, Pilar Sanders was at a loss for words. “🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️🥹🥲🥹❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏽 #proudmom #footballmom #shilosanders #bucs.” All she could do was drop a line of heartfelt emojis. So what was it all about?

Pilar Sanders posted a clip of Shilo Sanders on her IG feed. In the clip, originally posted by ‘seensatansports’, we get to see one of Shilo’s live streams. He reads a question off the screen that goes, “Who do I miss being around most in my family?” Well, Shilo’s enjoying the time away as he said, “I’m not gonna lie, I like being away from family right now.” But cue the confession, and he added, “Not having my mom cose by, it’s pretty different not having her close by. ‘Cause in Colorado, she lived right across the street, come help me if I needed good cooking, if I needed help with anything, you know she’s right across the street. But now that everybody’s moved, I don’t know. I don’t have mom across the street no more, ya’ll.”

Pilar is Shilo Sanders’ heartstring; that much is obvious from the bond they share. And she might just hop off to the Bucs facility with a treat for Shilo. What a day it would be for a kid away from the presence of his mother. But while Shilo is missing his mom dearly, Deion Sanders continues to push his son to greater heights. Even from miles away. He is Coach Prime, after all.

The father-son duo never miss a chance to take shots at each other, playfully, of course. Just recently, when Shilo was admiring his new locker room, he took a look at the jerseys and quipped, “This is more clothes than I’ve gotten from any team that I’ve played on that’s coached by Coach Prime.” And Deion wasn’t that far behind, either. He built a playground for his grandkid, Snow, and shared it with the world. He even wrote that the playground came from Shilo’s “trust fund.” But while the playful back and forth continues between them, Deion Sanders is setting up goals for Shilo to follow through.

While Shilo Sanders is doing everything to make his mark on the Bucs, Deion is pushing him to greater heights. Just recently, he shared a screenshot of his Shilo on his IG story with a mission for him. “I’m so Proud of @shilosanders! He’s focused, dedicated & hungry. I can’t wait to see the product he puts on the field. They have a REAL PURPOSE & ya’ll know why. #Dad.CoachPrime.” So the Buffs’ HC clearly wants Shilo to follow in his footsteps and be a standout. And that seems to be happening already. As NFL rookie watch had recently reported, “Sanders has an advanced early grasp of NFL defenses and that reportedly showed through his adjustments on the field throughout individual and team drills. – The Buccaneers rookie safety is FINDING HIS STRIDE in Tampa Bay.”

And Shilo is doing much more. He’s the ‘lunch guy’ for the team, taking notes of what snacks his teammates like. He’s even buying them from his own pocket. Beyond that, he’s driving himself to earn a spot on the roster. With the Coach Prime genes and with his own hard work, it won’t be long before Shilo Sanders becomes a favorite for the Bucs.
