Week 13 was disappointing for the Browns as they lost to the Broncos. Though their QB Jameis Winston made a record 34 of 58 passes in 497 passing yards with 4 touchdowns, the two pick-sixes that happened in the game made the difference in the final score, 32-41.

Now, the coach Kevin Stefanski has opened up on the disappointing finish against the Broncos. While talking to the reporters during the post-game conference, he said, “Very, very disappointed. You put a lot into these games. Very, very disappointed,” before adding, “Their guy made a play.” However, he declined to comment on Elijah Moore not touching Ja’Quan McMillian, as he hadn’t seen the entire play.

At 1:38 mark in the 2nd quarter, Nik Bonitto made a 71-yard interception that gave them the 21-10 lead. But in the 4th quarter, the Browns took the 32-31 lead. Jameis Winston & Co. could not keep the pressure and lost the game. WR Jerry Jeudy, who is an ex-Broncos player, had 9 receptions for 235 yards with a touchdown. It was the most receiving yards by a player against his former team.

With 3 wins and 9 losses, they slipped to the bottom of the AFC North division and in the 11th position in the Conference. Stefanski doesn’t have much hope of qualifying for the playoffs, but he still wants his locker room to come prepared with their best game. He also revealed his feelings about the game after the loss.

Browns HC requests Jameis Winston & Co. to stay focused till the end

The week 13 loss against the Denver Broncos was not a loss like any other loss. They lost despite the extraordinary performance of Jameis Winston. The coach gave a message to the locker room that was, “It’s hard when you lose, you don’t feel good about anything. Guys are playing hard, making some plays. We just didn’t make enough in the end. You’ve got to give Denver credit.” He’s right.

This season is important for his future as well. In 2020, he signed a 5-year contract with the Browns as the head coach. The worst he had before this was 2022, when they won 7 and lost 10 games. This is his last year, and no signal has come from the Browns camp that he would continue as their head coach.

Jameis Winston also has a 1-year $4 million contract with the Browns. His future also depends on this year. In the last 4 seasons since 2020, they qualified for the playoffs twice, in 2020 and 2023. But this season, it would be a miracle if they reach the playoffs. Fans are waiting to see where they finish.
