It’s game time. The week 13 is here. The Cowboys had a happy Thanksgiving by defeating the Giants 27-20. The Big Blue has slipped to 2 wins and 10 losses. They were eliminated from the playoff race. But there was another bad news for the Giants.

Their nose tackle Dexter Lawrence got injured during the game. It happened in the 3rd quarter, after which he was immediately taken to the medical tent and later to the X-ray room. Once they declared him out of the game, fans were worried. And their fears have come true.

After the game, the NT revealed that he dislocated his elbow during the matchup. That’s scary. His elbow was wrapped up and placed in a sling. More tests will be conducted in the next few games. That’s not a good sign for the Giants’ locker room. The absence of their tackles in the game also cost them heavily.

Dexter Lawrence has been a pillar for the team. He has only missed two games since the Giants drafted him in the first round (17th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. During the Cowboys matchup too, he had 3 tackles before leaving the gridiron. HC Brian Daboll has a lot of thinking to do after this development.

It was a brutal game. All three defensive tackles of the Giants got injured during the matchup.

The Cowboys matchup will make the Big Blue understand the problems caused by injuries. In the 2nd quarter, another nose tackle D.J. Davidson got injured. He was also declared out of the game. It was later revealed that he injured his shoulder. Bad things didn’t just stop there.

After halftime, in the 3rd quarter, Dexter Lawrence was ruled out of the game because of an elbow injury. But in the same quarter, DE Rakeem Nuñez-Roches injured his neck. It amplified their concerns, as the DE was also out of the game.

Left without their seasoned veterans, the Giants struggled to stop the Cowboys’ offense. Subsequently, they lost the game. There are plenty of problems for the Big Blue. They don’t have any good quarterback, whom they can hope to take them to a win.

While Drew Lock had 21 of 32 passes (65.6% completion rate) in 178 yards without any touchdown, but with one interception, Cooper Rush had 21 of 36 passes (58.3% completion rate) in 195 yards and one touchdown. The race now is to not finish as the worst team of 2024. Can they do it? We’ll find out soon.
