CJ Stroud has become one of the most impactful quarterbacks this year. The rookie broke quite a few records stepping into the NFL. Some put him in the MVP conversation too early in his career, others think that he is no short of an exceptional, but budding athlete. However, his actions are no short of elite as he copied Deion Sanders in the second half of the game.

Though the Jaguars had the Texans under their paw for the most part of the game, Stroud didn’t stop to look back and repeat the actions of the Southern football legend. The Jacksonville Jaguars won the game, leaving the Houston Texans at a 6-5 lead. Though the Texans faced a heartbreak, their QB1 won’t forget this celebration for a long time.

CJ Stroud for the touchdown

It was the 3 quarter, with 8:19 left on the clock and it was the Texans’ snap. They faked the ball beautifully and passed it to CJ Stroud way before the Jaguars could guess what happened. The QB1 ran for the touchdown, high-stepping like Deion Sanders. Stroud did it with the same poise as Coach Prime would have done back in the day. It would’ve looked even better if the Texans QB1 had come from even further.

Stroud ran for the touchdown as three tight ends protected him from a blitz. Stroud’s touchdown put the Texans back on the map again, but unfortunately, the Texas team lost by a hair’s length 24-21 in the Jaguars’ favor. Though the Texans lost, CJ Stroud gave his best, like he always does. But, a lot of missed plays come down to the number of times the QB1 got sacked.

Exceptional QB with a tinge of a mistake

As expected, the QB put up phenomenal numbers. He completed 26 out of his 36 passes and came out with a 72.2% pass completion rate. Stroud passed for a total of 304 yards, and he had 2 touchdowns in a single game.

The QB1 came out with an average of 8.4 yards per pass with a 116.0 RTG. Unfortunately, he was sacked 4 times. If he hadn’t taken that many sacks, he would have gotten an opportunity to convert one of those passes into a touchdown.

For now, the Texans are still in a 6-5 lead. However, another loss could prove to be a deadly mistake. The Jaguars are now 8-3, and the number one team in the AFC South, while the Texans are at the 3 position.

The Texans will go against the mighty Denver Broncos, who are playing the Browns, and are currently on a win streak.
