Ian Rapoport, offensive tackle Josh Simmons has been listed as questionable before the game against the Lions. This is due to a family matter back at his home in California, which makes his availability for the Lions game doubtful. Putting Josh Simmons on the IR was a surprise addition since there were no reports of any kind of injury. But the later revelation about Simmons’ personal issue made everything clear. However, this is not the first time Simmons has had a game-day addition to IR. He was added to the IR in the last game against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to an illness.

The interesting thing here is that he was picked despite his injury (a torn patellar tendon in his knee). Now, with him landing on the IR list, the Chiefs are staring at new challenges. It’s only Week 6, and they’ve already recorded 16 sacks.
