The Kansas City Chiefs have finally found their footing at 2-2 with Xavier Worthy back. Travis Kelce, too, had a solid outing (if not a standout), catching all five catches that Patrick Mahomes targeted him with. Of course, things aren’t all well, but better enough to handle their next opponent, the Jacksonville Jaguars, on October 6—a day after the tight end’s 36th birthday. His excitement? Bland.

Similar to last year, when Kelce’s birthday was tuned in with his annual Kelce Car Jam from a day earlier, his birthday is colliding with International Podcast Day this year. A few years ago, it wouldn’t even have been a subject of discussion, but the Kelce brothers’ New Heights Podcast has been topping the charts on Apple Podcasts. So, of course, the day asks for a celebration.

While Jason Kelce has a different view about it as the TE is all in. “I’ll celebrate International Podcast Day,” he said when his brother asked if he was going to celebrate the day. “Yeah, let’s do it because I don’t like just celebrating me, feels weird. I like celebrating everyone as a team. We have a great podcast team. We can celebrate them.”

The plans? “Free garage beers for everyone on the team.” While the veteran tight end was all smiles for International Podcast Day, his reaction to his birthday was quite the opposite. Before moving to discuss the former, Jason brought up his younger brother’s special day. “Got a birthday coming up, Bubba.” Travis’ reaction came pretty bland: “Comes around every year, if you’re lucky.”

My birthday just isn’t a f***ing, you know,” said Travis when asked if his head coach, Andy Reid, is planning to give him some presents on Sunday before Week 5. “It’s not a good day. It’s just an annoying day for me. I don’t want to get into the great two birthdays, but I’m just not in on birthdays.” The three-time Super Bowl champion isn’t big on birthdays (except his fiancée’s). Unless it’s a big milestone, he doesn’t feel like celebrating.

Unless it’s like a big milestone birthday. Like, once you get to 40, that’s a big one. That’s a big one,” added the 35-year-old. Even last year, he had a low-key celebration with his family. He wanted a “Super Bowl” as a birthday present, but that dream was shattered against the Philadelphia Eagles. This season, as well, things are taking time to adjust in Kansas, so naturally the four-time All-Pro wants to focus on Week 5, rather than make the guest list for his 36th with glitters.

Taylor Swift quietly shows up for Travis Kelce

Even though the Chiefs couldn’t make history with the three-peat this year, it was extremely special for Travis personally. It’s the year he proposed to his lady love, and she said ‘yes.’ However, things haven’t been smooth for him since. Kansas City opened the season with two back-to-back losses, and Kelce found himself not being fully utilized. He also had connection issues with quarterback Mahomes and a heated sideline incident with his head coach.

In order to support Kelce and the Chiefs, Taylor Swift secretly attended the Week 4 game against the Ravens. The Sunday Night Game was on the very next day of Swift’s best friend Selena Gomez’s wedding. Yet, she managed to make it (away from cameras), like many times before. She wasn’t spotted once on an NFL broadcast, but her father and brother were seen enjoying the game with Kelce’s mother, Donna.

Though the NFL broadcast missed her, fans’ cameras did spot her slipping behind a rolling divider that crew members wheeled from one doorway to another. Fans quickly pieced it together, pointing out that the pop star was the one behind the cover, thanks to the presence of her security guard. Regardless, it was one of those times when Swift’s schedule didn’t allow her to attend the Chiefs game, yet she made it there. Why? Because Kelce needed her.
