After completing a move to the Philadelphia Eagles, veteran wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown issued an emotional message after bidding adieu to the Kansas City Chiefs. Brown’s time at Arrowhead Stadium ended after a two-year stint, which began with an injury-riddled 2024 season and culminated in a solid 2025. “Thank you Chiefs Kingdom 🙏🏿 and to all my brothers and coaches, thank you for accepting me with open arms, memories I’ll cherish forever 🖤,” Hollywood Brown wrote on X.
After joining Kansas City ahead of the 2024 season, Hollywood Brown suffered a sternoclavicular injury during the preseason and remained inactive for most of that year. He returned in 2025 after re-signing with the Chiefs and put together a solid season. Brown started six games and appeared in 16, finishing with 49 receptions for 587 yards and five touchdowns.

With these numbers, Brown led the Chiefs in receiving yards, first downs (29), and was tied for first as the team’s leader in touchdown receptions. Hence, with his decision to leave Kansas City, Patrick Mahomes and Co. will be missing a key offensive weapon, who, alongside his incredible talent, also brought in a veteran voice after successful years with the Baltimore Ravens and the Arizona Cardinals.
While Brown took a moment to wish goodbye to the Chiefs, his wife could not contain her excitement about the veteran wideout signing with the Philadelphia Eagles on a one-year, $6.5 million deal.
With the league announcing this blockbuster move to Philly, Brown’s wife, Zoei Billons, reshared the NFL post on her own Instagram story and added the caption, “Let’s go babyyyy🦅🤍🤍,” as she gears up for her husband playing in one of the best teams around the league.

As Hollywood Brown and his family are elated with their move to Philadelphia, the Eagles’ front office is still facing a significant decision regarding its other wide receiver, A.J. Brown, who has been part of multiple trade rumors throughout the offseason. With Brown’s future in Philly still under a cloud, an NFL insider has revealed when the franchise could part ways with the star wideout.

Insider reveals when the Eagles plan to trade A.J. Brown
After a turbulent season, it appears that A.J. Brown’s tenure with the Eagles could soon come to an end. Brown, despite recording another 1000+ yard season, grabbed the headlines for his off-field reactions about the team’s offense and his heated interaction with head coach Nick Sirianni during their NFC Wildcard round defeat against the San Francisco 49ers.
Hence, A.J. Brown has emerged as one of the best receiving names available on the market ahead of the 2025 season. The star wideout was linked with the Denver Broncos before they traded for Miami Dolphins star Jaylen Waddle. With Brown still available, NFL insider Adam Schefter issued a comment on when the star wideout will be moved out of the franchise.

“I never heard that Denver was involved in any talks for AJ Brown,” Adam Schefter said on the Pat McAfee Show. “If the Eagles are gonna trade him, it makes sense to do it post June 1.”

When Schefter laid out the timeline, it wasn’t just about football; it was about reality. If the Eagles were to move A. J. Brown, before June 1, they’d be stuck carrying a crushing $43 million dead cap hit. But if they wait, if they’re patient, that number drops to around $16 million. That gap isn’t small. It’s the space between a move that feels impossible and one that actually has a chance to happen.
As Hollywood Brown embarks on a fresh chapter with the Eagles, Philadelphia’s wide receiver room is still not finalized for the upcoming season. All eyes will be on the front office as a potential post-June 1 trade could reshape the team’s offensive outlook heading into the 2025 season.
