The Buffalo Bills may have won against the Carolina Panthers. However, the devastating loss to the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons can’t be forgotten so easily. And most importantly, the reason behind the two defeats. However, it seems coach Sean McDermott seems to have already forgotten, as he plans to make changes in the roster.

The team just lost tackle Ed Oliver, who has been crucial for the early success in the season, including the one against the Baltimore Ravens. When asked about his replacement, “Sean McDermott said that he is going to get together with GM Brandon Beane today when asked about being down at DT,” as per Buffalo Bills reporter Alaina Getzenberg. He said during the pressers.
So, the coach and the GM will have to decide whether the team needs a trade. However, this isn’t the only position that needs attention. The team needs a reliable WR for their quarterback, Josh Allen.

Earlier, Joe Buscaglia, in his report, explained that WR might be a solution for the team, talking about the two previous defeats. “The commonality between the two, whether that’s the Patriots believing their one-on-one coverage was superior to the talent across from them,” he wrote in his report, “or the Falcons taking a coverage piece off the chessboard without fear of repercussions of getting beaten, all comes back to the Bills’ receivers.”

So, to help Allen have a reliable target, the Bills were urged to make a trade for a WR. Now, that will leave coach McDermott in a tough position. The team has a crisis in its tackle room.
They are without both their starting tackles, Oliver and DaQuan Jones. Oliver sustained a torn left biceps and will undergo surgery. As of now, there’s no timeline for his return.
Jones is dealing with a calf injury that he sustained in the pre-game warmup before Week 6. He has missed two games so far. Now, while the coach weighs in on the trade, he also took time out to call out the issues in the team.

Sean McDermott pointed out the Bills’ passing game issue
In the 40-9 win over the Panthers, the Bills faced the same issues as the last few weeks in their passing game. The QB had a rough start, completing only 6 of 13 passes for 66 yards in the first half. He was able to finish strong, but the passes remained underwhelming. His struggles have been evident in the previous games.
“At the end of the day, we have to be able to throw the football,” coach McDermott said. “It’s something we have to continue to work on as coaches and figure that piece out.”

The Bills’ passing issues mostly stem from a lack of reliable receivers apart from wide receiver Khalil Shakir. He had six catches for 88 yards and a 54-yard touchdown in the game, while the rest of the receiving group managed only four catches for 44 yards combined. Wide receiver Keon Coleman had three passes for 30 yards.
Wide receivers Curtis Samuel and Joshua Palmer are dealing with injuries, while wide receivers Elijah Moore and Tyrell Shavers are yet to make an impact.
Do they need a WR or DT? Who can help the team when they face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9? There are a lot of questions surrounding the Bills’ roster.
