What new empowered initiatives is Kayla Nicole pursuing?

Nicole made quite an impression when she appeared on the “I Am Athlete Daily Show” this fall to discuss the Kansas City Chiefs and their star player, Travis Kelce. In addition to being a journalist, she is also a fitness influenced who launched her own brand, originally named Strong Is Sexy,” in 2020. It has since been rebranded as Tribe Therepe.”

On Wednesday afternoon, Nicole proudly announced that she was now the CEO of her company. She updated her LinkedIn profile with a playful comment, stating, LinkedIn profile to CEO (shot these at the @tribetherepe headquarters, by the way) and posted some stylish photos of herself in business casual attire. In the past 24 hours, Nicole has been in the media spotlight twice for her fitness brand. On Tuesday night, she posted a workout video and she was dressed minimally to promote Tribe Therepe. In her caption, she addressed a troll who criticized her physique: “I recently received a comment on my page that read, ‘I thought this girl was into fitness and toning’.” She couldn’t help but laugh, admitting it struck a nerve.

However, she quickly reminded herself that she works out because it makes her feel great, and looking good is merely a bonus. Moreover, she doesn’t have to conform to anyone else’s definition of what it means to be toned or fit.
