Contract extensions have been one of the biggest storylines for the 49ers this offseason. And that’s carried right into the regular season as well. They couldn’t lock down a long-term deal with wideout Jauan Jennings, no doubt about it. But they undoubtedly took care of another key piece. This time, it was their right tackle, Colton McKivitz. The OT was entering the final year of his previous deal.
And just like any other player, McKivitz was engaged in strategic hold-in. The guy attended the team events, sure. But when it came to active participation, he was nowhere to be seen. As the 49ers secured their first win of the season against the Seahawks, we just got an insight that the 29-year-old tackle has signed a three-year, $45 million ($27 million guaranteed) contract extension with the 49ers. That said, let’s have a look at McKivitz’s net worth and career earnings in 2025 after his new deal.

However, he had to endure waivers, re-signing, and even battling a high ankle sprain before he eventually signed his contract extension in 2023. We’re talking about a $4.61 million extension that kept him with the Niners through the 2024 season. McKivitz started for the Niners in Super Bowl LVIII. Unfortunately, the 49ers fell to the Chiefs 25-22 in overtime.

How much is the Niners’ OT’s net worth in 2025?
Including his career earnings across five seasons, McKivitz has an estimated net worth of $9 million. While it’s still not clear whether McKivitz has any endorsement deals, one thing’s clear: with his new three-year deal, the OT is now positioned to earn a significant chunk of money for many more years to come, considering the Niners have locked McKivitz through the 2028 season.
And that means only one thing: the 29-year-old will continue to be a key player on the 49ers’ offensive line, protecting the quarterback, Brock Purdy—who also signed an extension this offseason—for several more years. The 49ers have already pulled off a 17-13 win over the Seahawks, and next up, they’ll take on the Saints on September 14.
