John is still going strong with the Ravens a decade later, but Jim has since gone on to change the Michigan Wolverines‘ college football history.

Both the brothers are dominating US football’s two premier leagues, the NCAA and the NFL. And both are on the hunt for a trophy after a long time. The Super Bowl favorite Ravens have clinched the #1 spot in the AFC and get a bye in the wild-card round. That allows HC John to march toward Houston with his battalion and enjoy the Wolverines’ playoff game against the Washington Huskies.

Brothers to meet in a playoff game after a decade

As news emerges, the Ravens’ head coach is preparing an entire squad to catch his brother Jim in live action at NRG Stadium on Monday. John has all the time in the world to take a break from football, before bracing up for the biggest challenge of the season. The Ravens finish the regular season as the top seed, therefore getting a bye in the wild-card round and clearing an entire week following week 18.

And John will take a Ravens contingent to the venue. According to Schefter, they are defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald, GM Eric DeCosta, and executive Ozzie Newsome. The game will be a highly anticipated one: not only because of the celebrity presence but also because either of the sides will continue their decade-long wait for the CFP National Championship after this game.

John Harbaugh and Jim Harbaugh: The brothers redefining football

The Ravens have been close to perfection this season, and have put up a masterclass in every area including defense, offense, and special team. Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines, on the other hand, are at the climax of their time. Carrying from his highly successful 44-19-1 49ers’ tenure, the HC has brought five 10-win seasons, 2 semifinal appearances, and two New Year’s Six Bowls in Michigan along with a 74-25 total and 53-17 Big Ten record. The Wolverines have not seen the CFP National Championship trophy since 1997, and Harbaugh has assembled the best side in his tenure so far to break the lock. But so are the Huskies who last hoisted it in 1991, and a great clash is on the cards. Jim Harbaugh must not disappoint his brother!
