After the 2024 season ended, the Ravens were struggling to swallow the defeat they faced. It was just a matter of defending a few points, and the picture could have been different. But John Harbaugh changed the feeling of defeat into excitement when he drafted 11 players out of 257 total draft prospects. But even after picking up 11 talented players, per reports, there is still one player missing, and the locker room is calling for him.

He wrote, Jadeveon Clowney to the Baltimore Ravens is ‘picking up steam’, per source.” According to an insider, the 1st overall pick of the NFL draft 2014, whose career earning goes up to $98 million, couldn’t manage to sign another year with the Carolina Panthers

According to a USA Today report, Jadeveon Clowney could be a strong addition to John Harbaugh’s Ravens. “Baltimore spent a second-round pick at edge in the draft with Mike Green, but that shouldn’t preclude them from looking for more depth in an ultra-competitive AFC.” While the Ravens already have a deep linebacker roster, Clowney still fills a critical need.

Looking at his stats, Clowney played 15 games in the 2024 season, recording 46 total tackles (24 solo) and 5.5 sacks. His previous season with the Ravens in 2023 was even stronger—43 tackles and 9.5 sacks. Over his 11-year NFL career, Clowney has logged 409 tackles and 58 sacks.

After a solid year in Baltimore, Clowney joined the Panthers for the 2024 season, though his time there was short-lived. The Carolina franchise parted ways with the 32-year-old linebacker for undisclosed reasons.

In other roster news, the Ravens released their longtime kicker, a veteran who had been with the team since 2012. The 35-year-old will no longer be part of the locker room, marking the end of an era.

John Harbaugh finally moved on from Justin Tucker

Justin Tucker, who holds the NFL record for the longest field goal at 66 yards, has officially departed Baltimore after 13 seasons. The Ravens announced his release on May 5. General Manager Eric DeCosta stated, “Sometimes football decisions are incredibly difficult, and this is one of those instances. Considering our current roster, we have made the tough decision to release Justin Tucker.” Tucker was facing ongoing allegations of misconduct from 16 women at the time of his release.

That’s why the Ravens decided to move on from the 35-year-old kicker. Arizona Wildcats standout Tyler Loop will now replace him. Before taking over Tucker’s role, Loop said, “Just figuring out what’s going to work to be successful in Baltimore—make kicks and win games. That means stacking days, learning, taking input, and competing every day. That’s what I’m going to do. That’s what I’m ready for.” However, now, Ravens fans are left wondering: Will any NFL team pick up Tucker, or is retirement next?

While there has been no official announcement, many analysts believe that, given his ongoing legal battle and advancing age, it’s unlikely another team will sign him. For now, one thing is certain: after 13 seasons, Justin Tucker will no longer be in John Harbaugh’s locker room.
