At Alabama, he quickly developed himself as a player on the defense. And his span with the team of Crimson Tide was marked by significant achievements. Notably, he was named a First-Team All-SEC Honoree in 2024, leading a team with 117 total tackles. Beyond the area of gridiron, the jersey no. 11 has gathered experience at Alabama that provided him with personal growth opportunities, development of leadership skills, and academic advancement. 

In the initial years with the Crimson Tide, while working at linebacker, he has earned time on special teams. And he finished with one tackle across nine games of action during his rookie campaign. At Utah State, his first collegiate action on special teams was noticed. In 2023, he has earned special teams player of the week recognition from the Tide coaching staff for his play at Auburn. In the same year, he was named the Nagurski Trophy National Player of the Week and the Lott IMPACT Trophy Player of the Week following the Tennessee game. Wait, there’s more? Certainly, yes. Jihaad Campbell’s stats & record 

Campbell is a tall, explosive, and rangy linebacker. He was initially recruited as an edge rusher in Alabama. But he was initially moved to linebacker because of his depth on the edges. In his 2024 season, he led the Crimson Tide with 119 total tackles, including 55 solo stops. His prowess in defense also includes five sacks, one interception, and two forced fumbles. These statistics are highlighting his impact and versatility along with his ability to contribute to the team in need. Even PFF College has analyzed Campbell as a complete linebacker prospect.

As per the scouting report, he had a highly productive season with more than 100 total tackles, generating some buzz with the NFL draft this fall. The 21-year-old certainly possesses the potential due to the combination of size, age, and athletic ability. He also has good eye discipline to locate threats incoming to his area. But he has issues with staying in his gap when taking on blocks from offensive linemen and good blocking tight ends. Even the best of the best has certain weaknesses.
