He has made a prominent career start. Since 2022, he has played 43 games and racked up an impressive 90 total tackles, 19 tackles for loss, and 12.5 sacks. However, in 2022, he was credited with three QB hurries in a win over Ohio State in the CFP Semifinal Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. He has also blocked a first-quarter Kent State punt, resulting in a safety. In 2023, Walker has played 14 games as a reserve ILB. And he notched four tackles in the Capital One Orange Bowl win over Florida State. His 2024 season was marked with under 300 pass rush snaps under his belt. Proving he lacks any real pass-rush moves for using his advantage consistently.
So, he’s still learning many of the fundamentals. This sums up that NFL tackles would be countering his traits if he doesn’t add refinement. Despite his prowess in academics, he is too raw and chaotic to be a reliable starter yet. He’s not yet at his peak. Thus, keep your eyes locked on the rising star. Because the best chapters are yet to be written.
